New Equipment (2/19/08)

I am seeing a couple things here:

A Corsair in full AF holding a Hexagun in what looks to be Jugner Forest ([S]? or Carpenter's Landing).
Corsair and the Hexagun (although simply the staple weapon for the job) insinuates ToAU while Jugner Forestish area (and not any possible ToAU area) scream Campaign to me.

A Galka in Sipahi gear with the new-skinned Amood in Windurst Waters [S].
The armor and model are both as ToAU as it gets, as does the fact that it's a new skin. However, purely being set in obviously Windurst Waters [S] is making me think high-rank AN exchange items.

A full relic Warrior holding the new Amood in what could be Tahrongi/Meriphetaud ([S]?).
Basic job, old Dynamis armor, RotZ/Wotg area... Seems to be quite a clearer statement for the new Amood than the obscure Galka and his ToAU armor, that it's more related to new content than some super-expensive, time-sink-upgradable JSE weapon.

Lastly, an extremely vague Hume woman in lv.30 armor in the desert with a Jambiya. The equipment choice alone makes me think that this is not some JSE, nor lv.75 piece of gear.

If Nyzul ppts want to get their hopes up about new Nyzul relics, go ahead, because perhaps the new skinned Amood -could- be a hint to that, but, I would assume they would have had a character wearing some Salvage/Nyzul gear in some kind of ToAU locale if that were true.

For now, my money is on: AN-purchased Hexagun, AN-purchased Jambiya, and a new crafted lolAmood.

TOA didn't do jack 'officially', but we already know they had a hand in the war with Haja Zhwan. Now, imagine someone from the Near East did have a hand in the war on the black market. What if they delivered supplies to the middle lands?...What if they delivered more than just normal gear....What if they offered an entire set?...

I'l be glad if they are AlliedNote items. That way I can actually get hold of new gear. I'd guess they are only level 30-60 though and for jobs i dont play so meh ;-/. Wonder how many new ranks there are gonna be anyway.

as much as i hope for the nyzul relics to be coming this update (mostly because i have the great axe already =p )
i dont believe this is them.. they dont come off as anything special at all, looks like new AN items imo sadly.

as far as the dagger job... lol such a odd choice.

Expected update but that should be the end of the fluff updates. Here's hoping they start with the juicy stuff Thursday

It's possible some Nyzul weapons won't have unique models. It's also possible those are there "uncompleted/middle-stage" Nyzul weapons if they don't exist. Anyway, I strongly believe they are highlighting Nyzul weapons. I'm also thinking this update will finish up some things in ToAU.

In all seriousness, I looked over the past few teasers prior to the updates. New Equipment/Items topics always props up 2 weeks before the actual update. Look at this as a sign the update is almost here.

The set that the mithras in waters [S] have on, the stuff the elves that are always fighting at Ronf [S] wear (the red/gold berk like set), and uh... didn't see a third new/intricate skin anywhere, did I miss something?

Don't forget to give your stuff away, so in a few months you can pop back on and feel like playing and think "shit, can't believe I did that."

I know there was a brief moment when I saw the new amood model, and realised it would probably have the same first quarter moon latent, that I thought "Why god, why?"

It's a love hate; we would love new armor/weapons, but we hate it when they do release new armor/weapons, and 90% of the time they suck balls. And if they dont suck balls, it takes a huuuge amount of effort to get, not that getting certain armor/weapons without effort is good (though I am cheap and lazy, so it would be good for me), it's just a hassle for little gain.

last time they did this it ended up being the lolcorslet, holloween hat, sam/rng body armor. I hope these weapons/armor are better/useful >.>
