    Hell, I use my Rampager over Mbhuj for RR, or Fort Axe.

    Tp Bonus just doesn't do enough.

    my standard Steel Cyclone setup, missing peices but...getting there.

    missing a few items, not many...Ares body, Alky's and...I'm trying to figure out what I want to put in as ammo, shells been doing ok but that might be from the other items I have...I normally follow, "stack on all the str possible for the spike dmg, where I can't toss in the vit" I use Cassie because it's a nice option for some more vit, but....meh.

    towards RR... that setup for my SC but put in heca head, heca legs warrior's stone and bomb core for ammo, however I keep brutal for RR.

    I currently use conte legs for WS. Not sure how they'd stack up vs AF2 NQ. Kinda wondering if AF2 legs are worth the trouble of getting. Any comments?

    war af2 legs are awesome. in some situations n legs are better, and unless you have those af2 legs win, unless of course you do salvage...at which point ares legs are best in more cases ;p

    Everything looks good for a 300 TP.

    I'd get something besides the Cassie, another Triumph or Vampire at night, definitely use the Bomb Core, 4 of a secondary mod isn't worth 12 Att, 4 Str is worth 12 Att though, for Steel Cyclone.

    Might try Smilo +1, it works well at the attack levels we hit, and helps with our retardedly high fStr caps. Alky's natch, Mbhuj to swap in after the 300 Tper.

    Go for Nhead if it's a possibility, Are's legs, Are's body, maybe Cerb +1, and there's honestly not much else you can put.

    Only put on two str earrings over Brutal if its a WC WS.

    For RR, leave haidate on unless Are's legs, Nhands, Osode, Heca head, Warwolf belt.

    All the Dex you can push (+45 easy) swapping out 4 Acc for 7 Acc on the Stone from the belt is Meh.

    I'm a fan of att, which is why I use n legs for RR, I lose on out 7dex but gain 20att, warwolf belt instead of warrior's stone I'm going to change. I had recently gotten the stone and copy pasted out most of my ws belts and it didn't click I'd be losing just 2acc but gaining 5dex. In regards to the seashell > bomb core thing, makes sense but I was trying to keep the vit mod in there, same with kabuto, I'm 5/5 on hecatomb so I swap things around often.....but I've got 5/5 str merits so when I toss on all that str gear I'm looking at 80+62 str, just from swapping out kabuto...and my vit is a mere +18 with bomb core in there also. Normally when I do SC, it's hard stuff, Tiamat Fafnir Nidhogg ect, my STR is supposed to beat out their vit, but what's it at? after reaching that point it should be better to go with the secondary mod, I suppose you could call it.

    You've been misinformed.

    Str is a WS mod, affects fStr, and your attack.

    Until you cap fStr (which takes like... god, some retarded amount for a great axe, 160?) you'll do better piling on more Str than Vit.

    When the moons align properly/at night/in my ideal gear.

    Bravura/Perdu/Mighty (firesday)/Martial Bhuj
    Mythril +1 as much for the acc and because 1 Vit +2 acc is worth 1 Str from Axe grip, I would use 4+ Str over anything though.

    Are's body
    Alky's
    Are's legs
    Heca feet
    Smilo +1
    Warwolf
    Gorget
    Vampirex2
    Flame/Rajas
    Hasso
    Steak of some sort
    MinuetX2


    Would put me at 71+88 or so Str, and 63+27 Vit and 800-950 Attack.

    The Vit is incendental though, except on the Are's where it comes with the same Str as Heca body, beating it out with the attack and Vit package.

    Even with 159 total Str I don't think I would hit fStr cap and gain more benefit from Vit.

    would shadow mantle on darksday be worth it? just got it a few weeks ago and havent tried it out yet on SC.

    5 Str vs 20 Vit

    Hmmm, I would have to test that out, but it looks like for Darksday it could be a nice Vit boost.

    Steel Cyclone Mods: 50% STR ; 50% VIT
    fSTR Mod: (mySTR - yourSTR) / 4
    ATK+(From STR) : STR*.75

    So basically, base D gets pumped by .75 * STR + .5 * VIT, no? In that case, some of the stuff you are saying is just freaking weird.

    Point one:
    Bibiki Seashell = 4 VIT = 2 D. Swapping this for a 12 ATK Bomb Core is in your opinion a good idea.
    12 ATK > 2 D

    Point two:
    Then look at Forager's vs. Smilodon +1 (3 STR +15 ATK vs 5 STR), so 13.5 ATK vs 2 STR Which is 13.5 ATK vs 1.5 D.
    1.5 D > 13.5 ATK, a swap you say is also a good idea.

    If you adjust those values a little better, you are saying that:
    12 ATK > 2D
    1.5 D > 13.5 ATK
    2 D > 18 ATK
    12 ATK > 18 ATK

    If you say that Smilodon +1 is better than Forager's, then certainly Bibiki Seashell should be better than Bomb core, should it not? (Seriously I just want to know if this math is funky or something, not calling you out)

    Also
    Smilodon +1 vs. 20 VIT
    Smilodon +1: 3.75 D + 3.75 ATK
    20 VIT: 10 D
    3.75 ATK vs. 6.25 D, I believe 6.25 D wins.

    Actually I specified that Smilo +1 has seemed to perform better at high attack values for me.

    Given that a Couerl sub puts me at 509 Attack just standing around in TP gear, zerk and warcry pick me up over 650, and minuets makes 800 Attack trivial, it seemed more effective to bump the Str side up at that point.

    I'll have to try out the Bibiki shell vs Bomb Core next Kirin zerg, cause I'm usually sitting at like 900+ attack when we go bumrush him, but I think something is weird in your math.

    Yeah my math was slightly wrong -- I forgot the level correction stuff. AFAIK Weapon skill damage is equal to

    (( D + fSTR + WSC) * fTP) * PDIF

    WSC = floor(WSMODs*Attributes) * .83

    STR and VIT add roughly .415 to D, from their mods.


    So fixing some stuff, Bibiki seashell = +1.66 D


    5 STR vs. 20 VIT
    STR: +3.325 D +3.75 ATK
    VIT: +8.3 D
    Essentailly +3.75 ATK vs. +5 D

    Same Bibiki/Smilodon tradeoff
    Bibiki:
    1.66 D vs. 12 ATK
    Smilodon:
    1.33 D vs. 13.5 ATK


    I still think it is probably worth using the seashell if you are pumping your attack as high as you say.

    Some additional items to look into may be http://wiki.bluegartr.com/Snakeeye / +1 Which is 5 STR, clearly trumping the Bibiki Seashell, and pretty much any other ranged item. On a Kirin Zerg type, you're probably going to want to chug a poison pot anyways to avoid sleepga, so that shouldn't be a huge problem, especially if you're going for an e-peen shot.

    Uh, Snakeeye makes Poison do 20/Tic, which is why I got rid of mine.

    Well, in my case it's not so much about the Epeen as it is, I'm a DD, I kill things, the better I kill things, the more useful I am to my shell. So I'm concerned about stuff like this.

    Also: Duh@Cerb +1, got one for me?

    I've got nice NQ gear.

    did another little thing on faf, hit 2400 SC which was about 350 more than I did with my other setup, all I changed up was ammo and head, put in heca head instead of kabuto and olibanum sachet(2str) instead of seashell or bomb core, but with how much str is on snakeeye...think I'm gonna go 6-man hydra again and get one of those...5str? come on that's already 3 more str than I have with sachet, it would be for ws only.

    Been reading this thread and i've been wondering, for the feet slots, if you are a taru, arent Creek M Clomps (4STR/4VIT) better than Heca Feet (6STR/3DEX) for SC?
