Here in KC it's awful. Clouds covering everything. Full Moon too. -_-

I believe all Eclipses are full moons =p Due to the way everything is lined up.

Full Moon meaning it's usually brighter than everything else in the sky... but the snow clouds here decided they wanted to ruin it.

Full Moon means its in the same line Sun - Earth - Moon, but not necessarily in vertical alignment. The vertical alignment puts it directly in the shadow of the Earth.

I saw the total solar eclipse on august 11th 1999 in hungary, was the most amazing natural phenomenon i have seen in my life. In the first hours you didn't notice any changes while shadow slowly coverd the sun, then around 12pm~1pm iirc it just got as dark as nighttime in a matter of minutes when the sun went 100% into the earth shadow. All insects and animals went completly quiet and the temp dropped noticable down. You were able to look right into the sun, because there was only that small ring left which wasn't much brighter than a full moon is. Too bad this happens so rarely and spread all over the world, hope i can see it again at some point.

No shit, I live right where the "Greatest Eclipse" star is. Seriously, right where Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois meet is where I live. I hope this map holds true.
