Chainsaw to the chest. . . . really?
Wait... I saw May something just 2 days ago, when was it pushed to June? >.<
Oh well it's not that bad really, too many games are out right now anyways heh, i'm barely having enough time for LO and DMC4, and that's not mentioning SSBB next month.
Still can't wait for this game, NGS was my first NG game and I really enjoyed it.
eh
I can't wait for this game. It really looks like it's going to be better than the first one, which i thought was a masterpiece.
Is it going to be as difficult as the first?![]()
Demo listed as coming soon on XBL marketplace!
I don't see why it wouldn't be. NG2 has a few new details. From what you see in the videos, enemies don't die as quickly, and would even continue to battle despite having their limbs hacked off. On top of that, some of their kamikaze attacks leave Ryu with a temporarily reduced HP cap, which can only be healed by visiting a Save Statue.Originally Posted by Takie
Itagaki pushed NG pretty far on the original Xbox. With the 360, I'm hoping we're presented with higher standards, coming from the first. Of course, this all isn't on Blu-ray or on multiple discs, but there's plenty of room for presentation and aesthetics. New techniques such as Flock of Swallows (Flying Swallow in succession; also introduced in the DS version this March) and such will make battles more interesting along with new weapons (Tonfas, Apocalypse, I mean...Eclipse Scythe on your back...mfing Wolverine Claws >:3). If you've played Black or Sigma, the missions were also worth taking the time to play, and I'm sure Team Ninja won't leave missions or future Hurricane packs out.
Itagaki has already said no.Originally Posted by Takie
It will be by no means easy I am sure, but the barrier to entry for NG was a little steep. Especially with that second level boss on the horse...
I hope so.Originally Posted by Takie
I read they'll try and make it more accessible, but there will be difficulty settings for those hardcore players.Originally Posted by Takie
Ack, well that's a slight disappointment XD I thought the standard difficulty was perfect. Once you knew the boss mechanics, battles flew easily; but the same can be applied to any game. With the horse boss, it just took timing and swift essence gathering, or at least that's how I dealt with it.Originally Posted by Po
Black introduced the Ninja Dog difficulty for players who found it too hard. So I'm hoping they'll have newer settings for people who find it easy or want it just right.
I liked the difficulty of the first game, except when I got stuck on the two electric worms and had to put the game away for 6 months before coming back to beat it![]()
Too much butt spandex, get some byakko boxers geez.
Other than that looks awesome.
lol, despite Itagaki's taste for eye candy in his DoA ladies, I'm sure he didn't mean for it with Ryu XD. If the older costumes are brought back, I'll probably be using this costume all over again.
Anyone else get it today or yesterday? Playing it right now. Aside from some camera issues, I love it.
not yet, i moved last weekend and don't have time to play it yet anyway. but the second i get more than 15 free minutes i'm off to pick it up.
hopefully by the weekend, and the new MNT better beat the crap out of the old flawed-ass one >.<
Solid Snake vs Ryu's outfit. Feels like they're wearing nothin' at all.
Judging from the new score system and difficulty. I think it's safe to assume it will be at least harder in some aspects. You have killing sprees and such to add to your scores this time around, which is kind of cool.
I started on Path of the Warrior (second difficulty) and it's already non-stop action with blood flying everywhere (reasonably! it's no Nanobreaker thank God). The AI will be relentless, and you really can't take your time with battles as you did in the first title.
noice, looking mega-forward to the carnage.
i speed-ran sigma last week to get ready for this, haven't played much in the last six months =( master ninja difficulty will be a thing of poetry and beauty.
