Anyone else find the hidden XBOX in chapter 4? rofl
what weapon is everyone leveling up? I leveled up staff to level 3 so far and I don't know what to do next, I have like 40k orbs saved up so I can max out one thing. I've heard the scythe is like one of the most powerful and the dual katanas get leveled up to max by themselves. That having been said, what else should I level? D:
Dragon Sword, Lunar, and saving up for Dragon Talon & Tiger Fang and Eclipse Scythe. Tonfas look fun as hell along with Falcon's Talons at level 3.
So I got the game after work... I haven't played NG1 for ages, but this game is just amazing. the finishing moves and everything flow so smoothly... It's just sick... more games need to be made like this cause its crazy fun. Been waiting to play a game like this since the last 3 games I bought I never got more than 1/3rd though (and yes, this includes GTA4). Granted my time to play games is very limited since I'm never home anymore, but this game is super entertaining.
I'm amazed at how well the game really plays. Tearing a horde of creatures apart limb by limb is poetry in motion.
So, how does this compare to Sigma? Does anybody have both and can share? I actually just got around to playing Sigma (I know.. -_-) and I'm really liking it.
I kinda wish I had played NGB now. I'm playing on Acolyte difficulty, and getting my ass handed to me by certain bosses/enemies. Just got to Chapter 8 though, and I'm loving the Scythe.
I haven't actually played Sigma but it's pretty much just a port of the first game, so I assume you will love NG2 if you love Sigma. It's just NG1 with better graphics, more moves, and more weapons.Originally Posted by Exoduso
Sigma and NG2 are actually very different in my opinion. NG2 is a faster paced game then Sigma and despite that being one of the only major differences between the two, it is very evident.
Nothing really beats swinging around a 7 foot pole with 2 maces at each end, and basically any swing is going to tear a limb off, as horrible as that sounds. And it all happens so fast, I just can't really say anything other then to actually play it and see for yourself.
Other then that, new weapons that are awesome, the game seems more customizable, and they raised the intensity level of it quite a bit. Think Sigma on Colombian cocaine.
Definitely a keeper. Not just to blow time on before MGS4 release, but even after that I can see myself playing it.
I think all the weapons are pretty awesome and have their time and place. You'll be able to lvl them all up eventually so pick one you like and go with it.Originally Posted by ertyu
Spoiler on weapon upgrades
The dragon sword gets upgraded to a lvl 4 "True Dragon Sword" later in the game so if you're cheap avoid that upgrade.
Also beating the game on easy unlocks a costume but not any higher levels of difficulty so you might want to start on the path of the warrior. I've read Itagaki is unable to beat it on the hardest setting but other people at Tecmo have been able to lol.
So they released the demo on the marketplace, and I decided to check it out.
Except for the extremely frustrating camera, I thought it was wayyyyyyyy better than Sigma... hell I had more fun with this demo than with DMC4, and I enjoyed that game a lot.
Sucks that I won't play it for a while though, with MGS4/MGO coming out.
I'm hoping the raise the camera a little, at the least. Having it on ground-level is somewhat a nuisance. Tapping RT isn't so bad during battles, but moving the camera manually can be difficult in the midst of bloody combat.
Working on Way of the Mentor soon, each path gives a costume it seems. Not sure of Way of the Master Ninja unlocks one yet.

Game is infinitely more enjoyable the second play through, and i'm picking up on way more nuances with the combat now, too.
Supposedly, one guy's beaten it and uploaded a picture of the "Golden Ninja Costume" on some Chinese board. I can't find it anywhere.
I can't fathom what Path of the Master Ninja must be like...

Gold costume from completing Path of the Master Ninja
that's... one of the most ridiculous things i've ever seen... but yeah, i'm gonna unlock it anyway lmao...
ita should lay off the hallucinogenics![]()
It's kinda cool, but a higher res picture is needed! But beating it on master ninja is probably the craziest thing ever.

The guys over at Iberian's NG Realm (probably the best NGB players in the world) are saying it's absolutely brutal--most of them took several hours to get through just chapter 1 because of the sheer difficulty.
