So Lafitte said that the marines were hypnotized to open the gates for anyone. Which means that Bon Clay didn't have to stay behind right? If Blackbeard was indirectly responsible for him dying to, I want him dead as soon as possible.

If I remember correctly, there are 3 gates (Enies Lobby, Impel Down, Marine HQ). Bon Clay opened the Impel Down gate. The hypnotized marines opened the Marine HQ gate.

And I just caught up on the anime. I love Buggy and Mr.3's antics that they added to fill time. Running around on wax stilts, trying to hide in a wax house. I'm gonna miss these guys once the arc is done.

Let's hope this arc is over now. The last few chapters were epic, but damn, I don't want to see more useless fighting between minor characters.

Luffy already knows that BB is the one who captured Ace. He's aware that BB is the one who started all this.

I think this arc is about done. I'd be surprised if they spent more than a chapter or two cleaning up/escaping and tying off the loose ends. If Oda decides to even do that. The "Narrator" usually comes in at the end of an arc.

I honestly wouldn't expect more than Zoro, Sanji and Luffy to even get Haki powers. Brooke, Chopper and Usopp don't really have the confidence required to utilize "willpower". I mean I can see them getting it, but I don't really expect them to. I suppose Robin/Franky probably will get it too, Nami...maybe, she's more battle capable than the others in the crew, imo. She needs a devils fruit or a better weapon after this arc for sure though.

As much as not having fruit powers is part of what makes zoro/sanji so awesome, they are probably going to need haki or devil fruit abilities to stay relevant in the new world with more and more devil fruit opponents popping up. Nami's already got a deus ex machina for a weapon: they can just make it capable of more and more destructive stuff and she'll stay in the picture. Franky runs on liquid awesome so I don't know if he's really going to need much upgrading, and there's only so much you can do to make robin better when her ability is already such a toolbox. Chopper's the doctor so he'll always be crucial regardless of how much stronger he gets in a fight, and I don't know what will happen with Brook and Usopp at all, but they're pretty clearly not supposed to be all that great compared to the other fighters anyway.

Zoro seemed to use Haki in Shabondy arc, when he was circled by a group of bad guys. Might just be 'killer intent' but that seems to be the same thing. Sanji will defiantly learn Haki, but I don't think the others will, or even get devil fruit powers. Probably just more skills + better weapons etc.

Also, It's hard to believe at this point that Garp is roughly equal to Whitebeard.
