Not really shocked, I was expecting it ever since we found out he was on Kamabaka island. Expecting it and being happy about it are two totally different things, this is one of the few things that has happened in OP that I just don't like.

Q: I thought to write to you since I have a question.
About Emporio Ivankov, he seems to have a striking resemblence to Dr Frankfurter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

O: Yes, that is correct. Rocky Horror Picture Show is a silly, nonsensical favorite movie of mine that
is so famous that anyone who is into B-rated horror movie would know.
The entire Kama Land theme is modeled after it.
HOwever, Ivankov has yet another model for him.
After I used Bon-chan, I met a real-life okama that made me want to do another okama character!
I met that man at the stage play featuring Luffy's VA Mayumi Tanaka.
He was a very impressive man named Norio Imamura, and because his face looked like a boulder,
I kept mistakingly remembered his name as "Iwamura" (Iwa = rock), thus the name Iva-san was born.
What's even more surprising is, after hearing that Ivankov was based on him, Mr Imamura auditioned for
voice acting Iva-san, and won that role! So the person Ivankov was based off, the real-life okama named
Norio Imamura is voicing Iva-san right now on the TV anime. He's really a powerful actor!

Q: How do you do, Oda-sensei. I read volume 57 and I couldn't quite tell the difference between
Ace's mera-mera fruit and Phoenix Marco's mythical zoan.

O: Yes, that is understandable. To make keep the pace of the war going at a fast pace,
I omitted as many explanatory dialogs as possible.
I will tell you a little bit about Marco's ability.
He is a Zoan type, so of course he isn't intangible and have a solid body.
However, he can use the Phoenix ability "Blue Flame of Resurrection" to heal his wounds,
and thus render damage done to him ineffective (however there is a limit to how much he can heal)
In other words, it's a Flame of regeneration. This flame actually doesn't have the characteristics
of a real fire, such as spreading or high temperature. It is totally different from Ace's fire.
I may touch upon the subject in the main story, but for now, this is all I can tell you.

Q: Can Whitebeard use his beard as a boomerang? PN: Chi-chan

O: Hmm, I guess when he goes out to take his dog out to walk in the park.
WB: Go fetch! Stephan! *swooosh*

Q: Question. Can bananas fit in Whitebeard's beard?
O: Hmm, I guess so. Yes if you open the zippers on the back of the beard, you sure can pull out bananas out of it.
Line them up sideways, and you could fit 3 bananas to the right, 3 more to the left, total of six bananas.
WB: Alright men, let's fight!! And eat your bananas! gurarara!"
O: ..... sheesh what in the world do you people make of Whitebeard?

Q: Hello Oda-sensei! I have a question. Is Edward "Whitebeard" Newgate a Logia or a Paramecia?
Whitebeard didn't freeze up when he took Aokiji's attack, so I personally think he's Logia?
O: I know it's difficult. But the answer is Paramecia.
The Gura-Gura fruit is considered the most powerful fruit out of numerous types of Paramecia fruits.
I know because we call him the "Earthquake Man", it's easy to think he's a Logia.
But for that to be true, Whitebeard himself has to be the earthquake.
Whitebeard can cause Earthquake, in other words he is a vibration-man.
In any case, it's a Paramecia fruit that's no less powerful than the Logia fruits.

It's not an interview it's just the typical SBS from the manga volumes. They usually have them in every volume.

Also another thing from the SBS, apparently Boa is a J cup.

Japan's cup sizes are one size smaller than America's. Japan's A-cup is flat chest. Our A-cup actually has substance to it, and is Japan's B-cup.

If you look closely at the letter Sabo left for them it's marked with the "S" with the X through it on his flag; definitely safe to say that's the inspiration behind Ace's Tattoo.

Damn break next week. Wonder if we'll get another week of flash back or if it will return to the present now. Sabo's death seems a little too open ended for me to be 100% convinced he's gone.
