Every time they get a bounty increase they react shocked/excited. It's a second newspaper; Chopper mentions having read about the war and horrible situation Luffy is in before he left the island and than receives a second paper while flying to Shabody.

I assume these updates on the strawhats are all taking place around the same time. Usopp had already known Ace was dead and had resolved to escape they island. So I assume the first newspaper would have included the deaths of WB and Ace in their reports.

Well, Luffy seems to be only a little bit stronger then Zoro, so it's probably the same with Roger/Rayleigh.

Currently Luffy is way stronger than Zoro, another problem with Zoro is that he is always fighting with handicap.

Pretty much what I was thinking, I'm sure the Marines had spread the news around far and wide that Ace was going to be executed. It's pretty vague about whether he knows Ace died or not. Usopp heard about it and immediately went into hysterics while Chopper heard the same thing and seems not too concerned? Seems alittle weird to me

He already knows that Luffy is in a terrible situation, that he's severely injured, and that "such a thing" happened to his brother.

I kind of wish they never gave Sanji a bounty picture, I enjoyed that running gag for years and I could have used that as an excuse as to why Chopper is surprised.

He might of just found out that they were going to war with Marines, not what actually came out of it.

Probably a plan by Rayleigh for Luffy to "surrender/declare war" on the marines and send news to their crews so that they can all go over to that location. Instead of all of them gathering at Shabody Archipelago to repeat the same scene again.

you know, I find the bounty increases to be slightly boring. It means they're stronger, sure, but what does it matter in the end when there's no strong bounty hunters out there actually hunting them <_<. Like if the reaction to the paper is a bounty increase then the reaction is just inconsistent with what actually happens in the manga ;\.

I hope the paper has something to do with rayleighs plan but I'm pretty sure it's a bounty increase >(.

You have to remember before Shabondy he wasn't too well known. And they did have to fight off bounty hunters there, although they were really weak. I think after this, everyone is going to know Luffy and it's going to have a huge effect on people when they go to random islands and such.

I must say, this story interests me much more than Naruto and Bleach. I guess I just enjoy the pirates and how much the world seems like Wind Waker. So much for me to enjoy in this world and story. Really looking forward to more now.

I must say, this story interests me much more than Naruto and Bleach. I guess I just enjoy the pirates and how much the world seems like Wind Waker. So much for me to enjoy in this world and story. Really looking forward to more now.

I pretty much called that being Mihawk's home the moment I saw the giant cross in the spoiler with Zoro's cover story.

Good to see stuff moving along. I wonder how long we'll have to wait to see them reunited.
