I think it's nice to see the comedic interaction between the crew. Especially when it's been so long since we've seen it.

I like that Chopper's real form (reindeer) actually crew. I wonder if his non-chibi human form did at all.

It's so hard to be patient with buildup when we had a month without One Piece though. I liked the chapter, but I really want to see some fighting or cool shit going down soon.

I found it boring because it's dull and predictable. not slow.
You could tell how this was going to go down in the 1st chapter.
Fake Strawhat crew gets the attention of the marines. Real strawhat crew comedically takes care of the fakes. Marines get to the island only to find the real strawhat crew, but they manage to escape. Soon after that, they reach a strange island where another slow buildup of wacky events will occur and lead into the next big epic fight.

That might happen. But who in all honestly called this crazy shit from back in W7 when they were first "supposed" to go to fishman island? It's predictable that they're going there now because it's been hyped up for like 4 fucking years.

Did Oda spend time on Franky's design because of all the complains about him changing too much?

We might get Luffy and Sanji/Zoro versus Sentomaru and the Px's, seems like the monster trio are the only ones not at the ship.

You can't possibly begin to lose faith in Oda after what Luffy's been through in the last two years of stories. It was two of our years ago that Luffy toppled his second Shichibukai and shit only got more epic from there. More importantly, the story still hangs together quite well. I'm willing to indulge Oda in a little ramp-up before the thousand sunny takes off again.

I'd say he likely already had the chapters done or at least half done before the break ended, and intended the gag with Franky's hair from the beginning.

The Pacifistas make the most sense for displaying growth, since I would assume they would be exactly the same as before.

I also liked the chapter and feel it is being paced how most of One Piece is paced, there was a fuck ton of shit going on in the chapter.
