Time seems to have passed, Koala now has short hair

After many adventures Koala is returned home to her island.
The fishmen are sad to see her go.
The villagers betray the fishmen and have made a deal to trade Koala's safety for the where abouts of the fishmen
RA Strawberry shows up with his men, they escape but Tiger is bad injured.

Tiger refuses to take human blood that could save him.
Tiger tells the fishmen to promise not to tell their island what has occured.
Tiger reveals he was actually captured as a slave for years, that seems to have been the real reason for him being at Marie Joa.
Tiger says that he simply can't love humans and dies.

Arlong returns to Koala's island to take revenge but Kizaru is waiting for him there and is captured.

I can see it ending in one more chapter, Oda did the whole Koala thing really fast so I don't know why he would stretch out the final part.


Fisher Tiger doesn't seem so impressive anymore and it finally makes sense why he didn't show Tiger going up Marie Joa.

Strawberry writes a report on the Sunny pirates listing Jimbei as the one to look out for.
Seems like some time passes as the sunny pirates are back in FI
Jimbei gets offered the shichibukai position in exchange for a pardon for him and the rest of the sunny pirates
Aladdin warns Jimbei about Arlong saying they may need to put a stop to him at some point

A tennryubito gets shipwrecked on FI, Otohime goes to help

I agree. I hope the next one is the last chapter. They certainly did a good job explaining what happened but.. god damn it. I want to see more post-time skip stuff. I want to see the crew and shit do stuff. Argh super long flashback. -.-

I'm with you guys, the back story is interesting in all, but I want to get back to the present and see what actually happens with Fishmen island. The current baddies don't feel overwhelming at all compared to CP9 or Enel or Crocoboy or etc, etc. And considering both Luffy and Zoro have been somewhat handicapped with their encounters thus far on the island, I just want to see them unleash hell and move onto the next island already

I get the feeling if he doesn't setup this story right then something that's going to happen down the road won't be as impressive. This is dragging a bit sure, we've already got a reason to see why the mermen hate humans.

If anything is grinding my patience down it's this repeated 'oh the Tenryubito are heartless, self-interested monsters who enslave an entire race, murder children for bonking rafts into their ships and in general act like ungrateful twats' element. We get it, Oda, there's not a good one among them and they're to blame for...well, everything. Can we get back to the Straw Hats?

This is the gayest chapter in OP history. It didn't even end the flashback (which would of redeemed it a bit at least, slightly).

It makes VDD look less like a joke character with him not being love crazy and actually having a reason for doing what he is doing.

I was kind of hoping at the beginning of the chapter that Oda would change things up by having the tennryubito change after the care from Otohime.

I didnt hate it, but I do agree Tenryubito stuff are getting redundant at this point.

About next week, anyone else think the treaty is just a trap to make a ceremony that would gather all the merman together...or something like this?

I really don't have any problem with how the tenryuubito are portrayed. I think the only problem I have with it is when they don't get whats coming to them (like in this chapter). There's something very satisfying about seeing them get their comeuppance.

It's Otohime I can't stand. We get it, she wants humans and fishmen to get along. Let's move on. At this point I feel like I don't even care how she died.
