We've already seen some of what he's gained. He seems to have gained a bunch of new forms, like his karate form, and his normal forms have greatly improved, his defense form was huge. I don't think we've seen his "human" form have we? I bet he's going to be huge now.

I'm disappointed how the fight went but the new abilities seem great.

The Sabo-Ace-Luffy flashback ended today on the anime, so it should be about time for the Crew training and maybe fillers that show more than the manga.

I'm glad it's done with the flashbacks, can't wait for the timeskip to finally hit in the anime. Also, were there filler episodes added into the flashback? It's been so long since I read those chapters, I honestly don't remember the bulk of it

Two things to note:

1) These guys can only compete with powered up Straw Hat crew because of steroids.

2) Zoro still kicked the shit out of Hodi despite the steroids

So basically everyone is still totally badass as they should be.

Was pretty meh since no SH's. Only good part was the end where Hordy was completely fucked up cause of Zoro.

The thing is the SHs have never been killers if Zoro had wanted to I am sure he could have killed Hodi. This arc feels too slow though that's for sure. Villains are a rehash of Arlong's crew and you have little to no reason to hate them.

I don't even know or care who half of these fishmen are. We see a bunch with names that pop up underneath them but I can't even keep track of them. There were a bunch introduced before and a few more in this chapter but I just want the Straw Hats to wreck them and be done with it. And where is that gooey guy who was tried to attack the Straw Hats and got trapped in a barrel?

Yeah, same here. The flashback, while "needed", completely killed the flow of the arc. Robins was at a good point of EL, Brookes was after the battle. This is just.. so terribly timed.

Since the Color Walks seem to come out once every 5 years and are perpetually behind the current arcs, is there a good, downloadable collection of all of them from One Piece? I'm only really interested in the page 1-2 color works, not necessarily things like WSJ covers or materials from the movies. I want high-quality, high res scans, not just a collection of the scanned pages on mangastream/etc.

The timing of the flashback was the worst part, this entire point of this arc is going to be to take the straw hats to the new world and to bridge the timeskip a little bit. What sucks is the fishmen setup has been a long time coming, to get to this point and then go 'oh yeah, there's another mary sue you need to feel sorry for' is just stupid.

The exposition about the queen is 'necessary' like Kuno said, but the placing and length have made this part so freaking slow. What I dont get is why it had to be as long as it was, it could have been broken up and spaced into the parts where the strawhats are walking around the island like with Shabody & the royals.
