It seems like Luffy now has/ is gaining the ability to "hear all things" like Roger

Chopper can't move for a few hours after using his monster form

Luffy needs a blood transfusion, his bleeding won't stop
Jimbei agrees to give him blood, he doesn't care what others may think because he is a pirate

Luffy asks Jimbei to join the crew

While he didn't ask Jinbe to join his crew like the spoilers said he would, it's pretty obvious that that's going to happen now. I enjoyed this chapter.

Holy shit. Decentish chapter despite a bunch of sea king crap. I never really believed they'd get Jinbei but holy shit this is awesome.

I'd say Jinbei isn't as strong as Luffy now. From the look of it Jinbei is probably about the same strength as Sanji.

This is probably why they were paired together. I'd say he was stronger than pre time skip Luffy, but now he's around that level.

I don't think Jinbei is too strong. Even Jinbei was surprised with the strength of Luffy's crew. The 2 year gap just gave everybody enough time to be in the same status as shibukens I think. If you really think about it Choppers monster point alone can be a hand full now. Sanji's speed is crazy fast (go out of the bubble then diablo jambo in a split second then kick the kraken then go back to the bubble) that's crazy. Even Usopp has greatly upend his game with his new ammo. I don't think we've seen how serious Zorro and Luffy yet enough to show how crazy they can be. . . . . In another note, I wish they would stop saying "omg we felt this presents alont time ago~backtrack Gol D Roger". I get that Luffy is the next pirate king but he doesn't have to be exactly the same >.<

I didn't see it necessarily as a "he'll be the next pirate king" but more as "there's really something special about this type of person" in some mystical sense.

Something like that. I don't think the gap between Sanji, Zoro and Jinbei is ever going to be meaningful. Hell, even Luffy never seemed to be very far ahead of his crew, it's just his determination and persistance that make him win the fights most of the time (and Haki too I guess)



I liked the chapter. The part with seaking was stupid (and I don't know where they are going with this prophecy bullshit), and the blood tranfusion was a little forced, but it was still a fun read.


Also, anyone wondered how everyone know their blood type? It's not something you would expect given their level of technology.

They use Snails as telephones, I think the technology is advanced enough

Edit: I like Jinbei joining the crew. The only issue I could even foresee would be him currently having a higher bounty, but other than that, I agree with the above opinions of him not being stronger than Luffy anymore

Pretty sure he has been rejected by people like Kureha and Iceburg but I might be wrong. The question is never emphasized when he gets rejected anyway.

There is still Jimbei's crew mentioned earlier this arc to consider.

Caribou giving up the mermaids and stealing the treasure is a nice twist.

Yeah, I remember someone suggested Jimbei as the new Nakama for pre-timeskip luffy and their was just no way, it would ruin the story having someone so much stronger. But now Luffy and Zoro are most definitely stronger then Jimbei now.

So this is probably the final member of his crew. I remember way back in chapter 1/2 Luffy said he only wants about 10 crew members, and we know Oda likes to plan stuff out years in advance.

Yeah awesome chapter, Jinbei being in the crew is going to be awesome. Also I didn't like the new OP from the anime at first but it's grown on me.

I remember reading that too, but it begs the question, is that 10 including Luffy? If not, than we still have 1 to go
