It's possible, but I think his sense of justice would force him to work through legal means to try and change things. The only way I see him joining the revolutionaries or the pirates is if someone in the world government decides that he knows too much and tries to have him killed.

MY first thought on reading that Aokiji had left the marines was "Oh shit, I bet he's going to join the strawhats eventually". Then after I thought about it for a minute it seemed more plausible that Sengoku, Garp, and Aokiji would work together to try and save the marines from Akainu. This was a really good chapter overall, very good story development.

Segoku, Garp, and Aokiji, found the Revolutionaries' Marines? There will always be a need for a force to hold back bad pirates. Hard to say though without knowing what the revolutionaries actually stand for beyond overthrow of WG. Idk why I never thought about it before but I really want to see Garp meet with Dragon.

Garp and Sengoku didn't leave the marines. They retired from their positions but they maintain a place in the marines training the next generation.

Doesn't mean they cannot leave now, especially given the apparent complete change in direction of the marines.

Fuck, I just want to see Garp and Dragon in the same room regardless of how it occurs.

I know I said the same last week, but damn, I wish they would transition between arc more often. It's always the best chapters.


The World government change were very nice and unexpected. It's only a small detail, but it's enough to keep thing interesting and change the dynamics out there. I can't wait for the next time they meet Aokiji. Big Mam showing up at the end of the arc isn't quite as surprising (called it before the arc start) but I'm still curious where they are going to go with that next.
