I don't see why not. If Luffy going to be Yonkou then he will need allies like the Sun Pirates. Heck I wont be surprise the whitebeard pirates serving under Luffy which would be freaking awesome

I've actually been watching the anime War of the Best on Hulu and man I feel bad for Marco, that dude got shit on so hard. And yeah he's clearly in charge of WBP, but they've already pledged their allegiance to him, granted that could have been a one-time thing, but I don't think so.
Watching it has been amazing, I think one question I have and this will never be answered I'm sure, is didn't Trafalgar Law come to Oda on a whim? Didn't he just decide to create the supernovas a couple weeks before they came out and stuff? If so, how was Luffy originally supposed to get off the island? Was Shanks going to take him away? Would Hancock have totally risked her position to do it?
Yeah I remember reading something like this. He decided that he should meet other pirates there and came up with the Supernovae in like a day or something. As for what it was originally supposed to be.. I think he just a rough sketch of what he wanted, and fills in minor details like that as it goes along (and gets closer to the arc).
After reading Bakuman, I'm 100% certain that while all authors have a general idea of where they want to take their story, they don't plan out every detail months in advance. For Oda it works out really well usually, and for other authors (looking at you Kubo), not so much.
Ehhhh, I think Bleach was originally supposed to just be the Rukia arc, and that's where the fuck up came. OP is clearly the most planned out of the big 3 because the true end-game is stated from the start. Naruto is kind of in-between since Naruto wants to become Hokage, but there's clearly a lot more gray in what needs to go on to become Hokage than pirate king.
The original plan could have easily been for Rayleigh to have saved Luffy in the war, he ends up appearing soon after Luffy reaches Amazon Lily so that would make sense.
The strangest thing about the addition of the supernova is not what they have added at this point but what it seems they will add in the future (Kidd is probably going to help Luffy defeat Big Mom down the line, Bonney seems to have some secretive thing going on with the marines). I think he may have had some idea for some supernova like characters that they meet eventually meet in their travels and then changed his mind and created them as the supernova we have today. In which case Law could have existed the entire time in Oda's plan just without the design he has now or as a part of the larger group called the supernova.
I don't see Kidd helping anyone with anything unless it's to their doom.
So, I recently embarked upon the journey of watching one piece. But deciding what subgroups to use has been a pain in the ass. If anybody could help me out it would be much appreciated. I've decided to go with K-F for 1-298, but after that is what troubles me. I'm thinking N-F for 364-414.. and Yibis after that. And for 299-363 I'm not sure what to use. Can anybody speak for the quality of Vegapunk/INP/VanillaPunk/Ra-C?
Loving the series so far.. the action so far isn't super-amazing and everyone suffers from disappearing wound syndrome, but it definitely makes up for that with hilariousness. Sky island arc has my mind full of fuck though.
The anime... is all over the place. Like you said, K-F is best at the start. Around the middle it just goes all over the place. I wish I could help more, but the last ~100 or so eps I just watched from the Funi subs. I don't know who does them anymore.
Vegapunk and INP are familiar names for me. I think they were both fine. INP did like W7 and stuff right? And Vegapunk after that? They were fine but VP was slow, I remember. Not that that is a real problem anymore since this was 3 years ago, lol.
People need to read the manga instead of the anime. It is more superior.
Hope this helps:
- Episodes 001-006, 162-299 [h264-mp4][K-F]
- Episodes 007-010 [xvid-avi][K-F&AKUPX]
- Episodes 011-161 [xvid-avi][K-F]
- Episodes 300-320 [h264-avi][Vegapunk]
- Episodes 321-342 [h264-mp4][Vegapunk]
- Episodes 343-357 [h264-mp4][AnimeSS]
- Episodes 358-372 [h264-mp4][INP]
- Episodes 373-400 [h264-mkv][anon-hq] <-- optional
- Episodes 385-427,430-491,493-511 [h264-mkv][yibis, anon-hq's sub source]
- Episodes 428-429 [h264-mkv][FUNiSUB]
- 512+, I'm not sure
Ride yibis until 515, then either switch to NoGrp or continue with Yibis until you're up to the current episode. NoGrp's episodes seem to be of a higher quality, and they release them faster.
Where would I be in the manga from where the anime is right now.
Around 610 I think?
Thank you!
Alright thanks for the tips/help. I've got K-F downloaded all the way to 298, and started downloads for 294-363 with vegapunk. Then N-F for 364-403. And then I plan to use Yibis to there until I'm close enough to caught up. At that point I'll probably switch over to the manga until there's enough episodes to marathon.
It might be best to skip filler, can find a listing here: http://razielsdomain.forumotion.net/...-for-one-piece
OP filler isn't nearly as bad as with other shonen, but it's still filler and if you're watching 500+ episodes I don't think it would hurt to get rid of the filler, heh.
