The other crew members aren't recognized. They called chopper a pet. They'll probably end up on the island and split into a few groups like Thriller bark. the names sounding similar can't be a coincidence.
So wtf chapter. Oda at its finest. Also seems like an arc I wont like.
Has potential but I don't like the threat of an extended delay between whatever is about to happen here and the Straw Hat showdown with Big Mom.
There might not be a showdown with Big Mom because Lola from thriller bark might be Big Mom's daughter.
Zoro is an animal as usual.
Dismembered body parts make be think Bugy or Law. Not sure how either of these abilities would let it talk though.
maybe he's literally talking out of his ass?
Well it was bitching about shichibukai which makes me thinks it's something to do with Doflamingo. We've seen him use his ability to sever limbs and such before, maybe this is something similar.
Buggy can only separate his own body, and even then only his head can talk. Doflamingo wounds people when he cuts them, and can probably only control people that are nearby. Law would be the most likely candidate since he "scrambles" things without harming them, and the legs were stuck in/to the dragon. The Shichibukai talk doesn't really make sense though, if it was Law.
You're not taking into account that there was a 2 year time skip. All the DF users in the Strawhat crew managed to enhance or upgrade their abilities, and considering we haven't even gotten an update from the rest of the world outside of little details here and there, it's not safe at all to assume anything about anyone or their powers at this point.
Yeah, but so have Luffy, Robin, Chopper and Brook. Luffy since he was a young kid, Robin for who knows how long. Chopper is probably the worst example of the 4 though, he hasn't had his powers for as long as the others. But Brook was dead and drifting alone for 50 years, and didn't discover that he could remove his soul and put it into other objects until the timeskip. 50 years!
I can agree with Law being offered a seat though. He had the highest bounty of all the Supernovas when they reached Shabondy. So it's not unthinkable that he got offered a seat.Originally Posted by TheTaru
But what seats were all given up? Blackbeard replaced Crocodile, Moria was kicked, and people assume Buggy was offered that seat. Hancock still retains her seat as far as I'm aware. Doflamingo, Mihawk, Kuma are all still there. I guess Jinbe needs to be replaced still
Well... Luffy has been improving the entire time. Robin might of too, who knows. Chopper was mentioned. Brook doesn't count cause.. he got his DF and then hasn't met anyone or wanted to really do anything with his life. I don't think that really counts. Buggy was shown, even on Rogers ship to have the basic body splitting thing down pat. He hasn't done anything really new since then. And it's not like he wasn't constantly fighting or whatever since then.
Moria, BB and Jinbei all lost their seats. No idea who the new three are. In one of the chapters you see the 7 elders or whatever mention they need 3 new pirates.
How does Brook not count? lol. He was only stuck at sea because he was a skeleton stuck in a giant ship that had a broken rudder. And then stuck in Thriller Bark for another 5 years because he lost his shadow. And he did have something he wanted to do. He wanted to see Laboon the entire time. I mean, camaaan, are you trying to tell me he just decided to sit there for 50 years and occasionally play his violin? He even admitted to be constantly training and preparing for his rematch with the Zombie Samurai that had his Shadow (I forget his name) for those 5 years, and yet didn't improve nearly as much in those 5 years compared to the 2 years during the timeskip when he was either stuck in a cage or putting on rock shows, lol.
And Buggy was an infamous pirate. Sure his bounty isn't huge, but he traveled around the entire Grand Line with Roger and then started up his own crew in East Blue. And the first time we even saw him was when he was causing mayhem in Logue town. And then after the war of the best, his crew increased in size from all those pirates from Impel Down. And while it's all misunderstanding as to why they continue to follow him, it's all the more reason for him to get a power-up considering his crew suddenly went from a bunch of fodder, to a bunch of fodder that are considerably stronger than the fodder he had before, lol.
I guess my point being that the time skip is the perfect reason/excuse for Oda to give every character a power-up or boost of some sort regardless of what prior history or motivation they had.
Of course I will acknowledge that this is all purely speculation and a hypothetical debate. For all we know, Oda might even introduce a completely new pirate and his crew as a reason for this lower body guy.
I think Buggy being able to take other people apart would be like Luffy being able to turn others into rubber. It just isn't something his devil fruit ability lets him do, regardless of him getting better at using it. But it's not like I know for sure or something. One of the main characters is a cola-powered cyborg pirate with nipple lights. Anything is possible.
Buggy is the Mr. Satan of One Piece, book it.
I think his was the third highest actually. Luffy had second place and Kid had first. edit: Seems he was actually fifth. Kid -> Luffy -> Hawkins -> Drake -> Law.I can agree with Law being offered a seat though. He had the highest bounty of all the Supernovas when they reached Shabondy. So it's not unthinkable that he got offered a seat.
I personally can't see the Marines giving Buggy a Shichibukai seat. They wanted everything related to Gold Roger to be erased, changing their minds now would seem weird. Law being a Shichibukai I could see though, and it would explain everything.
My bad. I mistook Law for Kid.
