Well, he did send 100 pirate hearts to the world government to convince them that he should be one of the shichibukai. I'm sure that had something to do with it, lol. Not to mention he showed up at the war of the best and saved Luffy too, that probably added to it as well.

The way I see it is that he definitely didn't get to 400m from the war because that's what Luffy went up to. And then he wouldn't go up again for the act that got him Shichibukai because it doesn't make sense to raise a bounty for someone who no longer has a bounty. He definitely went up after the war.. but it has to be other stuff that got him to 440.

That makes sense. Events like what happened on Shabondy with the 3 captains fighting the marines after Luffy punched the royal probably added to it too to some extent. But he probably did a lot of stuff to make him notorious enough for the government to even consider him a candidate.

It is somewhat misleading though. Crocodile only had a bounty of 81mil when he was a Shichibukai. But I guess if you look at bounties like power-scaling, I guess Oda would have had to raise the bar for what standards a pirate would have to meet in order to actually become a shichibukai.

Rewatching One Piece while doing other stuff and have a question about Skypiea arc. The log pose was pointing up, does that mean the log pose can force you to go to the sky islands in order to progress through the grand line or was it the other half of Jaya that made the log pose point up?

If you go to another island, it'll record that next islands position instead. It also doesn't always point to the same next island for everyone.. still not 100% sure how that works. Since not EVERYONE had a pose pointing up at Jaya.

The WG probably also considers the actual actions that got them to that level of bounty. The bounty is a sort of counter, by itself it does not tell you what raised it to that level. For example Hancock was said to have gotten her bounty of 80 million all in one incident. This is a higher increase then what Luffy got from breaking into ID, punching a tenryuubito, and showing up at the war if you look at the fact that these three events only added up to 100 million (it gets harder to raise your bounty the higher it is but you get the point).

The use of eternal posts, which the SH rarely use, could anwser the question about what most other crew do when their log post starts pointing at skypiea.

First four days. Kaizoku Musou came out March 1st and has outsold all but three other PS3 titles in Japan already.
