Am I the only one that thinks Nami is a closet lesbian? Everything in her past revolved around girls... she always makes comments about pretty women, and she basically "uses" guys like they're tools. As far as the comment between Luffy and Nami when she's sent flying, can somebody throw me a spoiler tag with the picture?

[Correction]

None of the female characters in OP show a lot of connection with a particular man. Same goes for the men, really, the entire series is pretty asexual.

You know, I've never once looked at Luffy as having a thing for Nami or any other the characters (save Sanji) had any real interest in the girls they encountered. Sanji has because he's a giant perv, but I think Luffy just respects Nami a lot. Though they'd be awesome as a couple ;o

Luffy doesn't let just anyone touch his hat. And yeah it may be a respect thing, but I think it goes a bit deeper than that. I really don't want to read too much into it, but there always seems to be little scenes like that between them.

Yeah. I think it's more about him respecting her, originally saving her, and just her being a girl. We all know how much Luffy respects his nakama, though I think that whole scene is completely badass+1. They've been all travelling together (the main crew, not the super new folks) for a while right? Either way, gotta love how Luffy handles things.

Was a nice chapter, I'm glad they are done with the fighting on this island. Boa's backstory was sorta lame compared to most backstory in OP tho. I would have liked something a little more...creative...or long? dunno.

Boa's story and the fact that slavery exists and is sanctioned by the World Government will probably be an important story point once the crew is reunited. I don't see Luffy just forgetting that Hacchi and Boa bear permanent marks of the bubbleheaded fuck he last punched into the atmosphere.

Yeah I think it'll be alot more interesting when he gets to Shabondy again. Also I was rereading and I thought this part of thriller bark was interesting. Go go gadget forshadowing.

It looks like we're stuck with Luffy now for a looooong time. Something like breaking into Impel Down and rescuing Ace is going to be very long. I really wanna see everyone else again, I thought his part would be over but I guess something like this was inevitable. Also it seems like Hancock is going to probably join the crew or at least help out with that. >.>
