One Piece Thread

Personally I loved it. Not much plot movement but I loved Sanji and the interaction between Zoro and Tashigi. And it looks like the arc is finally on its way to finishing. Which is good, because these arcs since the time skip have just felt stupid long.

Thriller bark / alubastra / skipea arcs were stuuuupid long.
Its just this time around its missing more SH vs. Other crews and too much backstory / sidestory.

The mini flashback with Mocha was boring as hell. That was around 75% of the chapter. Everything else was ok.

He had to give Mocha's death/sacrifice weight. At least it didn't take as long to setup as the goldfish bitch.

Next chapter: Chopper going to show off his new medical skill and rescue the kids plus mocha. Luffy going to kick ass and Trafalgar Law going to reveal something big which will give him the upperhand.

So the 2 hour long Nami special that aired a long time ago is finished being subbed. For those that don't know what it is, it's essentially like the Alabasta/Chopper movies, they're recapping the Nami/Arlong story with new and HD animations. Albeit, this one doesn't have the new crew/ship like the Chopper movie did.

Other then that though, the movie looks awesome! From what I've read, I don't think Oda is as hands on with this one as he was with Strong World, but apparently he's overseeing everything that's happening with it so that should make it just as good, if not better then SW.

It's pretty good yeah, fairly standard animu film stuff, but it's definitely worth a watch if you like One Piece.

I loved SW, easily the best OP movie, it was produced, written and supervised by Oda so there weren't any filler liberties taken at all. Oda isn't as hands on with Film Z, but he's overseeing the project again which is always a plus.

Just watch the intro alone of SW, it's great and pretty much indicative of how good the movie is(disregard the Spanish subs):

Looks like the anime is headed to some filler starting next week. I think the manga is about 8 or 9 months ahead of the anime. Was hoping for a new intro, but I guess that'll come when the filler is over.

Episode of Nami was so good The animation and art was just absolutely incredible. I hope they do it to the rest of the character's backstories. It's a really nice way to get non-one piece fans into one piece :D

Supposed to air in Japan on the 15th of December. The new episode was fun, wasn't expecting the episode to be so... sad(?) as the animators made it. But One Piece fillers haven't been really all that terrible so it should be interesting what comes from it.

Law is the god damn man. That chapter was excellent, between Luffy getting pissed and giving zero fucks about whatever Ceasar says and Law going nuts on Vergo and puting Do Flamingo on notice it was awesome.
