If Usopp ever becomes a Fleet Commander I am pretty much demanding he becomes Sogeking again. A fleet of ships singing the Sogeking theme song into battle would dominate the New World.

I don't think Oda will ever divide the main crew and send them off with their own fleets. And I don't really see Luffy with a fleet of ships either. If anything, they'll have a bunch of friends and crews (New Whitebeard Pirates, Revolutionaries, Ivankov's Okama pirates, Fishmen, etc etc) all joining up with him for some epic confrontation. But they'll all be hoisting their own flags as opposed to being part of the straw hat crew/fleet.

Ussop leading an army made up giants, and probably other weird beings, has been foreshadowed since he first appeared and lied about having thousands of supporters. That is definitely going to happen in the final few arcs and I would not be surprised if all the SH were split up in the final war and led there own fighting teams before being reunited and posing heroically as they have done so previously.

Splitting up the crew when they arrive at an Island for the sake of the story =/= splitting up the crew so they have their own fleets. I don't ever see any of the crew getting their own crews and ships. But them getting split up at an island is a given. Can't have a group of 9 people running around together constantly.

But I guess we can just agree to disagree?

There's no way Luffy is commanding any kind of fleet directly. He's too simple to do something like that. He wouldn't have his direct crew do it either. It would have to be allies like Jinbei and Chinjao for it to even be feasible.

The crew you see now, plus whatever direct additions we eventually get, are going to be the endgame. This I can almost guarantee.

Jinbei will probably join (since he was already asked) in a position of controlling ally fleets.

Also betting money on Jinbei helping out team two (Sanji, Sunny, etc).
