Oda works 20 hour days, 7 days a week. The tonsilitis he got last year is acting up again, so he's going under surgery to get it removed completely hoping to eliminate the issue completely. Hope he gets better, love OP so much.

I know Bakuman is a fictitious work. But if it's anything close to a real depiction of what manga artists go through, I can only imagine how laboursome it is for one person to create a series (and one hell of a series at that) all on his own

And yeah, I always imagine Bakuman when thinking about manga artists' jobs lol. I'm sure it is pretty close to reality, even if it is fictional.

Best part of the chapter! Lotta people predicting Sabo would fight Pico what with all that "core" talk. Glad to see Zoro gets to be a boss and we'll hopefully see all his post timeskip growth

I just fucking love the amazing teamwork between Luffy and Zoro. They are just so perfect with each other it makes me giddy. And Zoro was even more of a boss with both his pebble comment and making fun of Pica to ensure they would be fighting. Amazing writing this chapter, loved it.

I've been getting too much SSB news recently, and at the end of the chapter the "Sabo arrives on the scene!" just made me think of the character announcements for SSB. >.>

But yeah, Sabo vs. Marines should be excellent.

I stopped right before Luffy fought Cesar clown. I think that was late 2012. After Fishman island I was prepared for a good 30+ slog of bullshit chapters once they got to this island (TBH I've forgotten the name, I just remember something something kingdom).
But no, it was nonstop awesome all the way from the fight with cesar to now. I chalk that up to there not being any whiny ass secret princesses.

I thought it was Sabo after Luffy's reaction and the fact that he was ok with the person getting the Mera Mera no mi, and was very happy to be correct.
I'm impressed with the sheer amount of new named faces the fighting stadium brought out without becoming overwhelming.

I could say more, but all I really have to say is the moment I realized it was going to be like alabasta + Pirate war + battle royale I just kept reading up until the "oda's going under the knife" notice and got all sad.
