Yes, which is why it's 4 parts. If it was only on 1/2 of the world then it would be two parts.

Yes, but in the picture posted there are canals going across the Red Line there allowing people to enter the Grand Line from each of the Blues. Halfway around the world your only option to cross the red line is to go above and lose your boat or go below using your boat.

Yep, it's the "lose your boat above" that I don't understand. Sure, it would be a pain to carry it over (or build another one), but why is it considered impossible?

How the hell would you get your boat over the mountain? They didn't even say how marines get up there w/o a boat, but they said they lose boats.

I dunno, ask 2 giant to carry your ship on the other side? Use someone's fruit power? It's not like they didn't face bigger challenge before. Storywise, it would suck, I just don't understand why it's not possible from a technical perspective.

So I started reading the manga a few days ago and so far I am at chapter 143. Is chopper the blue nosed reindeer as awesome in the Anime and if so what episode does he show up in? I laughed pretty hard when I saw how he tries to hide behind a door and spy on people.

Third island in grand line...should be pretty soon (dont remember exact number tho).

Is he as awesome as in the anime? That's a tough one for me because I never liked him. His introduction arc is pretty good, but I hate his character in overall, except for a few jokes here and there.

I really dont remember the episode numbers, I only watched the show through once and read the manga alot. I kinda like chopper, he's annoying at times but he's weird and quirkly. Then again I like most of the crew so idc. >.>;

Oh man, Chopper is probably my favorite character in the anime! The voice acting and comedic addition is amazing...the cuteness factor also. I absolutely love it when he verbally insults people who compliment him, yet he has the biggest smile on his face while cursing them out.

*Edit: pretty sure the episode you're looking for is 83, from what I gather on wiki.

Well it looks like Buggy is along for the ride.. I have a feeling he won't really try to escape any more after this point. I'm really surprised they didn't realize it's luffy in there with him. The last page makes me think that they'll see alot of familiar faces the deeper they go. It'll be fun. Also Oda said he wanted this arc to be less then a year because he really wants to do the New World already but.. We'll see how long this arc is.

Well, with pictures of #3 at the end of the chapter, I suppose we can assume Luffy is going to recruit a temperary crew of his beaten foes on his journey down to rescue Ace. So, any bets to who's going to be on levels 3 and 4?

I'm not sure a whole lot of people are imprisoned that he beat. I'm thinking mostly everyone from Alabasta and probably some Supernovas. Sky Island/Water 7 arcs didn't really have anyone sent to jail.

Still have most of the guys they defeated before getting to the grand line: Arlong, Don Krieg, Captai Morgan, maybe Bellamy? Forgot what happened to that guy. I can see them showing up. Well maybe not Captain Morgan. I'd bet on Arlong or Bellamy. I also think Helmeppo and Colbey might make an appearance.

Bleach and Naruto take weeks for secondary underlings to be defeated. Luffy is so fucking badass he kills four before anybody notices and beats the fifth in a page.

Bellamy was the slave the tenryubito was riding in Shabondy. I doubt Don Krieg will be there since there was no marine presence there... and they did run away.
