    I'm genuinely quite curious as to how it'll affect/look on Luffy. The other parts of the spoiler had Doffy saying something like "while Luffy has speed, he has no power", so obvious foreshadowing would be that it'll make him hit harder at the very least least.

    G2nd made him pink and steamy. G3rd made him giant'esk. G4th?... maybe he'll become a "vulcanized rubber" man? Would make some sense if he wants to counter Akainu's intense lava heat and be tougher/stronger

    I dunno honestly, just spit-balling here

    Isn't gear 3rd already his power gear, though? Gear 2nd is mostly speed, but a bit of power, and gear 3rd is giant-sized power, right? Unless gear 4th is 3rd gear power with 2nd gear speed I have no clue what's going to happen, heh.

    That said, I've never been so excited simply to hear about an upcoming move for a shounen character...

    Luffy's just been schooled on how open to attack gear 3 makes him, so I guess that's a shortcoming he was made aware of during his two year training. The mention of Luffy's attacks being weak is odd though, he had no problem at all putting down the roid'd up Hody Jones.

    My initial guess on that is that Don is at a higher level than Luffy, and Luffy is only going to win because he's been prior weakened. Which goes to show Luffy isn't god-tier just yet, and still has room to grow.

    We already knew this, but Doflamingo is a tank, he's taking some of Luffy's best shots and then complaining that they tickle. I can't wait to see what Gear Fourth is, too bad there's a break next week.

    I will admit though, this whole "Luffy stopping Doffy with 1 foot" and most recently Luffy saying shit like "you're wasting MY time and getting in MY way" badassery is quite delightful.

    As much as I can get behind it, it also seems a bit more standard shounen and out of Luffy's character, though I can appreciate him maturing a bit and having a bigger picture which was never really clear before.

    Seeing as how this is the first "real" fight since the time skip, I'm totally ok with it. Hody was a shitty fight and Cesear wasn't really challenging in any way.
