Doffy and Luffy both use their final moves. Something about the awakened real power of devil fruits (the spoiler is in broken English) but yeah, fight is supposedly ending.

That is really interesting. I can't see it becoming spam-level save for the highest of tiered/powered people. And on top of that, it already seems to be somewhat of a thing for logia-types. Zoan I can't really see it working for, at least by how it's described in the spoiler. But totally for Paramecia types like Luffy

We saw awakened zoans back in Impel Down. The guards were said to be awakened devil fruit users by Croc. It's possible Chopper's monster form is his DF awakening.

Not sure about logias. We see them make objects but not absorb objects. Perhaps what Enel did when he turned really big will be a logia awakening?

I'm kind of ready for this arc to finish. The "aftermath" and travel between islands chapters are always really interesting in detailing what's happening in the rest of the one piece world. Not to forget what's happening with the other half of the crew!

Well, was wondering who he was going to get to fight. Interesting drawback to his move. Wonder if that'll get reduced later on, or if he'll get a gear 5th that manages to skip the drawback.

Also, time is a bit silly in shonens, right? They can move at super speed, so 10 minutes should be a crazy long time, but I have a feeling it won't be nearly as hard as you'd think (since the bird cage itself has been a slow timer anyway) to delay for 10 minutes.

I just realized.. what is it with OP and large visual/audio cues when a boss finally goes down?

Crocodile had the sandstorm/rain. Enel had the ringing of the bell. Moria had the shadows returned. Hodi had the massive sinking ship, and now Donflamingo has the threads. What an interesting recurring theme.

Really good hype chapter. This arc should be drawing to a conclusion pretty dang quick here, but I expect at least 2~3 weeks before we reach the conclusion to the fight
