What I think is going to happen is Luffy is going to talk Hancock out of it. Because
1) He doesn't want her to inferere (you dont want to lose your position, do you?)
2) Maybe he'll ask her how he hit her (without directly going "Why what is this haki you speak of, tell me more)

It's not like him to care about people's position (i'm not even sure he understand the concept), and he already left people behind to complete his objective. This arc is just giving everyone their 2 minutes of fame to push Luffy at the top. That's how I see it.

If luffy ever fight Smoker, he is probably going to win over a technicality concerning the fruit, or use seastone.



About Kuma, I really don't know what's up, but it's obvious the real one isn't completely gone. Incomplete brainwashing maybe?

Chapter delivered the goods on all fronts.

Smoker has more reason than most to attack Luffy directly, since it was on his watch that Luffy was able to get to Grand Line in the first place. It does sadden me though that with Hancock there the fight won't get to the point where I'd want to see it. I don't see the fight continuing one way or the other, next chapter is likely Ivankov vs Kuma/Donflamingo.

So far the only fighters left unaccounted for are Crocodile, the 3 Admirals, Hawkeye and whatever Sengoku is going to pull out of his trousers to beat on everyone with. Next chapter will not disappoint :D

I never liked Buggy, but the whole subplot with him just keeps getting better and better. The interplay between him and Whitebeard and Buggy's internal thoughts were just hilarious. Kind of disappointed that it looks like Luffy vs Smoker isn't going to happen, but it'll be interesting to see what will happen to Hancock now that she's sided with Luffy.

About Luffy vs Smoker, in this war it seems like there won't be any real full one on one fights. It's just one big free for all, which is like a war should be. Luffy will end up punching a logia, whether it's Smoker or one of the admirals, it's been built up this whole arc.

I'm guessing they wiped Kuma's memories and there will be a cliche moment in some future arc were he gets it restored just in time to do one last heroic act. It's what always happens with androids. Ivankov is going to get destroyed if he fights Doflamingo or Kuma. They seem to be being built up as the strongest shichibukai along with Mihawk and Ivankov just seems like a joke character.

Ivankov was in the depths of Impel Down for a reason. He can intimidate Crocodile and rubbed shoulders with Dragon, on top of being recognized by a Marine Admiral as problematic. I highly doubt he's just a joke character.

He intimidated Crocodile by threatening him with his weakness. I don't think he's completely weak just not top level. He lost to Magellan and I think the top fighters would all have a way to fight evenly with Magellan (WB would quake him to death, Kuma could reject him, Flaming could control him, Akoji could freeze him, ect.)

I wouldn't sell Magellan short, depending on how potent his poison is (it is his power so I'm going to guess very) I think he can take out Akoji and Flamingo, if his powers are string manipulation. The other two he probably doesn't match up well against.

Edit: I'm just going off his poison melting the hell out of crap.

Aside the haki crap, power level isnt well defined in OP. Some powers are better against other, but important characters seem to fight on even ground. I wouldnt say that Magellan is stronger than him just because he ran away.

Think Pokemon. Luffy beat Enel because ground is immune to electric. But to everyone else electric pretty much rapes face.

Episode 420 - Robin + Usopp

Robins was really boring... and so drawn out. Usopp only got like 5 minutes but it was hysterical. Also Hancock at the begining was hysterical as always. All around better then last weeks. Next week we end with Zoro and Brooke, then some fun in ID

Hancocks falls down (from overwhelming pleasure)

That's when Kuma proceeds to attack the other prisoners.
Enraged, Ivankov says no more fooling around, he's going all out.

Fodder pirates: I won't let you get to pops!!
They attack Crocodile.
Croc: Out of my way.
Croc blows them away with tornado.

Jozu comes rushing in, and body slams into Croc's face.
Croc is blown away, and mutters how fast Jozu is despite his size and weight.
Croc lands on his feet, but blood gushes out from his mouth and nose.
DoFlamingo is near by.

Jozu comes attacking him, but DoFlamingo stops Jozu.
Jozu: So you managed to sneak out of that hole of yours huh, crocodile man?

Then he slowly turns towards DoFlamingo, and glares.

Croc: Don't get in the way Doflamingo, or I'll kill you!
DoFlamingo: How about it Crocodile, why don't we join forces?
Jozu vs Croc & Doflamingo?

The strongest swordsman Hawkeye appears in front of Luffy who went to save Ace.

I agree Oda is making this go a bit slow. Maybe he'll actually finish these fights this time though. Luffy vs Mihawk can't actually happen because he would just get cut into pieces so Marco will jump in. We were promised shichibukai vs wb pirates and now it may actually happen. doflamingo/ crocodile vs Joz, and Mihawk vs Marco. Otherwise these set up for fights that never go longer than 1 chapter with no outcome are going to get boring.

I don't want to see shikibukai vs WB pirate either. I want to see Luffy and Ace together, I want to see Garp's choice, i want to see what will happen to the Marines after they get defeated again, I want to hear more about Kuma or the revolution...etc

I'm more than satisfied with the war going on atm, I just need 1-2 panel per match up, I can fill in the rest with my imagination.
