Flashback of Ace's childhood. In his home town Gol D. was considered a villain because of this Ace became a rebel. Ace believes he doesn't deserve to be saved but is moved by the sacrifice of his crew. WB pirates start to lose. Wb collapses, coughing out blood, and is hit by Akainu. Marco is shot down by Kizaru. Jozu's arm is frozen by Akoji. New world captains are beginning to become discouraged. Luffy asks Iva to inject him with hormones again. Iva is unsure of what will happen but he goes along. Last page ends with Luffy shouting a "battle cry".

Good chapter, but the short ones kill me. Plus combined with the flashback not a whole lot happened. At least buggy is safe and sound. That was the highlight of the chapter for me.

Short but a great chapter. I think its going to make a good transition for Ace to take over WB's place if they do save him since it doesn't look good for WB. Just by the flashbacks and his talk with himself.

Also it makes me wonder if Oda would do a rescue Luffy (from hell maybe) arc with the way he keeps shortening his life span or is he just meant to die young. I'm probably reaching on that though.

And I knew the magma would play a role in unfreezing Buggy.

Apparently Oda said in a interview this is the last time we will see Luffy 17. Lots of talk on other boards about a possible timeskip. I personally don't see one happening seeing as their ages are alright, Franky is supposed to in his 30s right? Probably Oda screwing with peoples heads and just meaning he will turn 18.

A short time skip would be fine (its been like 10 days since he got punched accross the world...it's too short for the crew to gather together again). A 10 years time skip wouldnt make much sense on One Piece, but a couple of months could make some sense.

Not sure. Some stuff can be assumed. Like we know where Franky and Nami ended up, no one should be surprised by power ups for them. The others are not so obvious, so I really would like at least a little bit of backstory once the crew gets together again.

I wouldn't expect backstory to come right away, it may not come until some big fight/issue that comes up and the crew member steps up with their new abilities and then we'll get some explanation on that.

There was no script just pics, I didn't want to ruin the chapter for myself so I only looked at a few but this is what I saw:

Luffy is charging at the execution stand
Px's seem to get in his way but Hancock appears and defends him from them
WB pirates (joz, marco, wb) seem to be getting beat up like they did last chap
marco is getting multiple shots through him by kizaru
wb is starting to look really bloody
Luffy and Coby fight
Chapter ends with executioners getting taken out by Luffy's haki
