Holy Shit @ Sengoku going SSJ3 and Juggernaut Punching the scaffold down. That right there is an End Boss. Also much <3 at Mr. 3's reveal. I love this arc for returning some villains from old arcs into critical roles for this arc. Nothing goes to waste in this story it seems.

It's been pretty much one episode = one manga for a long while now. It's gonna feel a lot more stretched when Luffy gets to Marine HQ, unless they finally start to condense it down some.

Yeah that is true but usually they do a decent job of it without making it look bad. Still the Magellon fight was good so far, I just don't like his neon purple color.

I don't watch One Piece anime, but I actually, I prefer filler. I don't like filler, but I prefer a few months of it as opposed to slowing down the manga story to the point where they just stretch out everything and ruin the momentum.
and despite the stereotype, filler can actually be entertaining.

One Piece anime is actually pretty fast paced compared to shippuuden canon (and dont get me started on bleach). Although to be fair shippuuuden has started speeding up lately.

It's only slow paced compared to manga. But thats kinda expected when a 15 page manga is translated to a 23 minute episode.

i dont mind when one piece tries to fill in an episode's worth from one chapter. The part i liked most about this last episode was how bon clay was spinning then collapsed and the sparkles were still there, well at least just how that one clip was done seemed funny to me.

So how caught up is the anime at this point? I only ever watch the anime when I'm curious about how some fights are rendered out (see Kizaru), and I'm genuinely interested in watching Magellan fight.
