Chapter 575: Anger without words
Luffy is at a loss, Akainu takes the chance to attack him, but Marco blocks him.
Whitebeard, who was observing the situation, attacks him without saying a word.
Akainu fights back, but is taken down with two attacks. The second punch sends damage to the entire HQ, and not just Akainu.
Blackbeard pirates, who appears to have been observing the whole deal, appears with three legendary prisoners + Shiryu + another character.
Blackbeard: I'm glad I made it in time to see your death, pops.

About luffy, I'm glad he isnt fighting back. I really didn't want to see a SSJ luffy here. His power since the beginning was his carefree attitude, and I can't picture him figthing because of the anger/despair.

I can't say it would kill his image, but it would be a terrible shonen cliché I would rather avoid if possible.

I was expecting blackbeard to either find pluton or rescue some level5 prisoners for new crew members. Although now that I think about it, rescueing prisoners is a lot more logical ..

So lets see, as it's apparant now Blackbeard will be Luffy's final nemesis, and based on the matchups I worked out earlier, we can probably figure out what sorta people the new crew members are.

Luffy vs blackbeard (Both Ds, want to be PK)
Zoro vs Shiryuu (Swordsmen)
Usopp vs Van Auger (Sniper)
Chopper vs Doc Q (Doctors)
Lafitte vs Sanji?? (Both kick? Guessing)
Franky vs Jesus Burgess (Both large and strong)

So we're left with

Nico Robin vs ??
Brook vs ??
Nami vs ??
?? vs ??

So it seems like we'll be seeing 1 more nakama, then luffy will be done.

Akainu falls into the crack in the ground after being taken out by Whitebeard.
But he doesn't go down without a fight. He punches Whitebeard, and takes out half of his face.
Sengoku comments on how Whitebeard has so much power even without half his face.

The guys Blackbeard brought with him are:
A HUGE mofo like Oz, an old hag, and a large man drinking booze like crazy. The rest are his usual crew.
Akainu takes out half of Whitebeard's face with the counter attack, Whitebeard's second attack splits the entire island in two.

Whitebeard is left standing alone in one half of the island, fighting the entire rest of marines, and Blackbeard pirates.
The rest of Whitebeard pirates told to retreat are left on the other half of the island.

I think it's pretty clear whitebeard intends to sink all of marinford and anybody aboard. BB is there to add his own ZEHAHAHAHA and just leave; he's not likely to be there for anybody other than WB and once it becomes evident WB is doomed he has no reason to stay. This is Oda showing off who the new Big Bads are with the Marine's seat of power (and consequently the force of arms for the world government) getting reduced to ashes. The next meeting between BB and Luffy is almost guaranteed to be crew vs. crew

Jesus Christ, Whitebeard is so strong. That guy is one of the most impressive men I've ever seen in any manga, and I've never considered One Piece a serious fighting shonen before. Just seeing him pumps me up.
