That would be amazing if it did. Since most Salvage runs that we do with 8 people I'm usually in the reject party and hitting F8 is annoying as shit.Originally Posted by Altanass
why is SE worried about changing the damn music now and then. Should'nt they be working on more important things. Does this mean SE think FFXI is fine the way it is now? omg
Oh what a cocktease.
I am so happy now...afk sleep.

That is pretty god damn awesome right there.
This is the problem, people assume that them doing something little like this means that THEY AREN'T DOING ANYTHING ELSE. The size of the update tease doesn't necessarily represent the man-hours spent on it. Sheesh.Originally Posted by test123
love the OP's title, pretty much summed it up.
Man god damn I saw the title and thought :D "YES! Maybe some of the stuff we'd talked about in the improvements thread made its way to the game!" Then I saw (Nothing good) and thought"Oh brother, what could this be?" Then I read the article and said
"GOD DAMNIT!"
Also, what about us that would rather not have battle music playing and rather just keep the area music, or lack thereof, play through battles? I really liked that feature in FF12 and had been wishing for it forever.
I hope to whatever good power of the universe that they are saving some MEGATON shit for last.
Could always make an "/assist Name" macro.Originally Posted by Jkun
I actually like the music changes, esp since I play SCH and main heal on BLU at times, I only hope it's a good range away so my RNG and COR can benefit-- no music puts me to sleep everytime.![]()
I wish the macro online saving was done earlier, but better now than never lol.
it may not be the greatest change ever, but people have asked for it. Im also happy i dont have to make macros every time i go to a friends to play ffxi.
Ughghghghghghhgh please please please please let the music thing be optional. I really hate the battle music, it's so mundane, and I love the background music they release in some zones (Xarca / zvahl / Wajoam + Bhaflau < especially this one / aydeewa ) and the fact now I'm gonna have to listen to the garbage normal battle music means i'm gonna just mute the music and play the OSTI liked being a mage because it meant my music wasn't constantly changing -_-.
I guess it's nice to know if i got aggro or if a party member gets aggro and the monster is getting close or something.
re:macros - not gonna touch them till I find out they're not scanning them and banning anyone with /console exec
You guys just don't appreciate good suspense building
I want to kill who ever writes these last couple updates so very much
Even if its a lol-update (was expecting MB update seeing at the image) and I understand could be a great concern for those who use Windower macros but this can be quite useful to the people that doesnt use them.
This could potentially be very interesting if this could be a pre-update to increase macro lines since I would think that uploading them means SE can have less concerns/problems allowing longer macros.
Wild thinking in the end, but who knows...
I'm happy for the music change. I don't know how many times, after a long grinding session, I just get tired of hearing the ambient music (or lack of) when playing as a mage. I would sometimes just engage on the monster to hear the music changeThis may not be a big announcement since we are still a bit away from the actual update itself. They tend to hold off any game changing updates until moments before.
It is too bad that the macro thing couldn't come sooner =/ Now I play exclusively on the PC, but this might give me a slightly more encouragement to try game again on older systems :D
Does anyone have the feeling that these minor "fixes" are coming from developers that may actually play the game now? For the past year we have been getting system type changes to our macro pallets and now our music. These have been gripes posted online for years, and while they are certainly not game changing, they mark an improvement to game play.
in the end having a macro with /console exec doesnt have to mean shit does it?(well it does but i dont think its enough prove to ban you? )
i mean i can write down any shit i want there for shits n giggles, that doesnt really have to prove anything, unless they can scan that the macro actually performs a task ingame,if they can do that, i dont know
I just want to express my extreme disappointment after actually reading the update details....
Wow, I was literally saying "Oh snap!" out loud when I saw the title of the latest update news before logging in. Technically it's not a misleading title but it's certainly missing the point! damn you!!!!
