Worth buying?
Review I read said it was so-so, not for the mature RPG player.
Anyone picked it up? Opinions?

I rented it, reviews say it was short, looks fun, yet to crack into it XD
lol, when you play it post up your thoughts :D
So far 2 hours in, kinda not liking it, barely getting by... I'll update this hopefully once I pass it, that is IF I do.
The controls are interesting use of the wii mote however that itself is probably it's strength and weakness.
I'm a huge fan of DQVIII
That said are there any similarities between the 2 games?
Dragon Quest meets Punch Out, I'd say, from playing it the last hour or two.
It does seem short, but it's FUN. You have to know what you're getting into though. This is the kind of game that would fit right in at an arcade, imo. I'd recommend a rental first.
It's fun for the first bit, but it gets a bit boring since shit is kinda the same just rehashed as different chapters.
Not worth a buy, barely worth a rental imo. If you're dying to check it out rent it, however I would definitely not suggest it as a buy. If I had my choice, I wouldn't have dropped the 8 bucks I threw at it, but meh I needed to know.
The story is barely going anywhere substantial or significant and it looks like I'm like half way done the game (like 2.5 hours in).
The only redeeming feature of the game is the combat system however that itself is the problem too (well that and the lack of an environment to explore, the shortness of the game and all around sub par feel to the entire thing which includes story and graphics), since it has a really bad way to pick up your strokes, I swear there are a lot of times where it does something else other than the expected slash.
Overall (so far as I've yet to pass it lol)
5/10 (Passable)
Worth 4.5gigs?
Worth a DL, yes :DOriginally Posted by Julian
Rented it, didn't really like it but then again, it's not your good ol' DQ, not even close.
I own it and I love it. I think the concept is unique and original and everything plays smoothly. If you bust through the game and ignore armor/weapons and everything else, you could probably have it done in 6-8 hours. If you take your time it'll be 10-12, if you want to do all of the bonus stuff, there are people who have already logged 50+ hours into it. You'll either love it or hate it.
