Six men, one Long Armed Chariot

Yeah, so certain circumstances arose (3/8 Hikazu Sune-Ate drops anyone?) and now we need to kill this dude a lot.

Whoopie.

Problem is, we've yet to attempt him. Our group goes with six people regularly, the jobs (that matter) are as follows:

MNK/BRD
MNK/BLM/BRD/WHM
THF/SAM/BRD
SAM/WAR/THF/NIN
BRD/NIN (storm fife)
WHM/BLM


Is it possible for us? If not, which jobs would we need? (our SAM usually uses /DNC, btw.)

I would heavily recommend a RDM in the backline (due to enfeebling, backup curing, hastes, and refreshes) but the BEST setup out of what you have, in my opinion would be:

- Your two best geared MNKs.
- Two BRDs (the Storm Fife one and another)
- One THF
- One WHM

2x March, 2x Minuet and maintaining Ballad on the WHM. It'll be fairly rough on your WHM, but you can probably do it without TOO MUCH of a headache if you're all very skilled.

*EDIT* Basically if you wanted to take it from a POSSIBLE win to an almost guaranteed one, switch one of the BRDs for a RDM.

We regularly did LAC with BRD+WHM backline. It requires them to be top-notch, but it's doable.

I remember we regularly 5 manned LAC with SAM SAM RDM BRD BLM. Considering I (BLM) was just Cure bombing and otherwise useless, I think you can easily do it with MNK MNK BRD BRD WHM since MNK > SAM for TP limitation and you're getting double BRD songs up front.

Only piece of advice is have your backline start running back early when you see the first Brainjack go off. You can kite it out of the phase. Also, don't bother erasing the MNKs obviously since they'll just end up being able to hunt you down during charm.

We took the SE route on the 2nd floor for these. Just did the Usu legs 15 NM then went to LAC.

LAC is probably easier to do with less people. Nothing like having 5-6 people getting charmed because they were trying to deal damage.

Would help if the MNK without hate move back ~15-20' or so when it's closing to the brainjack timer, you can pretty much kite the LAC and neutralize it for the most of the session if not the entire duration of the brainjack spam.

Kiting around the room perimeter is pretty easy and if you can fuck around with the 2 platforms, you can keep him away even without movement speed booster.

At which point does this BRAINJACK SPAM occur? Also, what do you mean by "brainjack timer?"

I forgot if it's HP or time based, but on my group, the Brainjack happy fun time session usually occur every 25% HP or so. I'm thinking it's probably time based to happen at like every 2-3 mins or so, but it's been a while since I've fought LAC.

What usually happen on my group is that someone call if it's almost time for brainjacks, then whichever melee doesn't have hate walk away and get ready to kite.

You need a good head start if you don't want to get brainjacked.

THF is good for accomplicing the WHM, do not ever not once ever ever ever use it on a monk tanking the chariot, because all this does is give MNK1 full hate, MNK2 which you just accompliced halved hate, WHM full hate.

When MNK1 gets charmed, instead of running after MNK2, it'll now run after WHM.

THF is great if they can have hate on the boss after monks get jacked, especially if they are geared up, because the bosses aren't very accurate against thieves (nimbus cell + eva gear), so you can hold it in place without feeding it discharge TP, while the mnks pull hate back.
