FEStival; it's essentially a director's cut with extra content, new personas, etc etc. Best part is, it's the stand alone version so anyone who got screwed and didn't pick up Persona 3 won't need it now.

Hard to say, but seeing how popular Persona 3 was, I would think they would put even more copies of this out considering they will have new customers and people buying this version for Episode Aigis.

Hoping they have the option to take an existing Persona3 data and load that into FES, or else my friend is going to shoot himself in the head.

At any rate, glad to hear of the second chance to pick the thing up. I had the misfortune of leaning on the edge of purchasing back then, but then my college homework ramped up.

It does, Persona 3 save files and Persona 3 FES save files can be used. You can do a New game+ on the FES version using your persona 3 file.

I posted this over in the RPG board the other day but I guess it went unnoticed. I'm glad people can play the full game (one of the best RPGs on the PS2), but I really hope they let me load my save onto it. I'm preordering this sucker just in case, but I have my (almost mint condition) stuff all nice and neat in my box to remind me. I might even order 2 copies of this one.

There's also a well-endowed female Persona available in this version if I remember correctly.

Wow, I was praying they would bring out FES in the US. Now I can import that because frankly, after waiting 6 months to get the normal version I doubt the UK would get FES. Gah, P3 was so hard to find in the US anyway, but I doubt it'll be as popular over here. So I ask you BG, should I get UK P3 (comes out this Friday) or should I wait for US FES and just get that?

FES is a standalone (at least the US version is)

At least it's getting the original game with extras and Episode Aigis.. not to mention it's only $29.99, 100+ hours. It's an RPG gamers dream IMO, also being able to date Aigis and Elizabeth and those extra things you can do towards the storyline. (cannot mention, super spoilerific) I think it's worth a repay alone for Hard Mode but it depends just how Hard it stacks up compared to SMT III.
