Did anyone else hate Double Dash as much as I did? I'm not that excited for Mario Kart Wii yet unless it proves to be as amazing as Mario Kart 64 was.

Our list at Gamestop says 4/1 for Mario Kart so it could be April 2nd or it could be any day in April, unless it gets pushed back. Honestly, I can't wait for either titles. I think I'm probably looking forward to Mario Kart more just because it's back to single riders. Oh yeah, and motorcycles.

From what I've read about Mario Kart Wii we're going to be able to choose whichever control scheme we prefer, steering wheel style (enclosed accessory) or with the normal wii control/nunchuck or classic controller.

The steering wheel seemed to have a steep learning curve due to having to get used to the bounds of turning the wii-mote accessory but overall once you get used to it it's supposed to be pretty damn good to play that way.

Looking forward to it.

They also specifically said Brawl would be November ^^; Our Nintendo Representative was in about a week ago, and even in Nintendo's book its slated as "Q2"...

Play MKDS, it will psych you up for any future MK game. It is THAT good.

DD was fun if you were lucky enough to get 8+ people playing, then it was amazingly fun. That said, MKDS was fucking gold, and any Mario Kart fan should play it

Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart DS are by far my favorites. I hope the Wii game is similar in style and gameplay to them.

I like Double Dash the best.. Its handling just feels the best to me, much more so than MKDS, which everyone here seems to love. /shrug

And Toadette was unparalleled amounts of awesome...

Snes one feels too archaic to play. I can play a lot of old Snes games just fine, but mario kart? Hell fkn no.

I liked Double Dash as well. Oddly enough, my least favorite is Mario Kart 64. I still like it, but I haven't played it as much as the original, Double Dash and to a lesser extent the Gameboy Advance one. I haven't played the DS version at all

Apparently the only communication online w/ Mario Kart will be text based, no voice chat. Dammit Nintendo.
