No I was just wondering how come no one complained that SSBB has no voice chat or text chat? If they did I guess I didn't look hard enough...

I've complained about Smash before. Nintendo has set the bar so low for online play that people seem happy to get anything at all.

I just want a universal friend code valid for all games, a more integrated address (friend) book, and at the very least full text chat support for all games, but a headset would be nice. People can be annoying, yes, but I'd like to be able to communicate fluidly w/ my actual friends in a game too. I can't imagine playing FFXI w/ just the auto-translator. And no, a game like Mario Kart doesn't require precise strategical planning, but you lose out on something when you can't share a laugh with a friend.

I'm still excited for the game but I'm just not going to give them a pass on a crappy online experience.

i agree completely, i think the wii is a great system & i'm really looking forward to the next few months but when i actually stop and think about wii's networking compared to live or even (for now) psn i'm shocked. who knows what will come in future system updates though, i guess.
