Probably a good idea to mention that she had just admitted to loving her ex when she married her current husband, thinking her and her ex should still be together and be married and admitting to the fact that she's cheated on her husband whilst married. She THEN said she thinks she is a "good person".

I'm sure for every person on the show 5 get tossed out, because they simply don't have enough to hide. If you fool the polygraph then they simply won't take you onto the show.

Unless you're completely resistant to that kind of pain, you can get the detector to come back with inconclusive readings. Just because you say "four" when they ask what 2 + 2 is doesn't mean the detector can't indicate that you're lying based on an increased heartbeat and whatnot.

I don't think it's an invalid question. Simply because, a person can try to talk themselves into believing anything. But when you've done something like cheat on your significant other, or answer any of those questions the way she did, then you have to know, deep down, that you're a bad person.

Probably the reason she was surprised was because she thought she would be able to walk out of there with a ton of money, and go back to her ex boyfriend. Now, she gets NOTHING!

If the True/False announcement was based not on a lie detector reading, but of whether or not a pre-screen on a polygraph matched the responses to the same questions when "live," then they basically set her up.

Now, last night's 10 minutes were the first 10 minutes of this show that I've watched, so my judgement about this "game show" is very narrow...

I'm all for game shows where contestents are rewarded good behavior or correct answers or proper showcasing of talent, but this was just an exercise in pretending to let someone choose money over self-worth only to yank the dollar-on-a-string out at the last minute.

You’re wrong, she did get something. The knowledge of knowing that all of the world now knows how much of a slut she is. Then again she seems to think that she’s a good person so she probably thinks she did nothing wrong

Nah, it's fine, but it'd just say whether or not she really believed what she said.

You could ask someone "Does God exist?" and that's fine for a lie detector. But all you're gonna get out of it is whether or not the person is consistent with their beliefs.

Not all the contestants are 'bad' people. The week before, they had a middle aged man on and he did pretty well, his questions were of the sort 'do you think your wife deserves a better looking husband' and 'are you afraid of dying due to your weight'. I like the show cause its cheap entertainment, it could definitely use better pacing though.
