other way around i believeEar: Loquacious Earring Spellcasting Time -2%, Spell Recast Time -1%
Fast Cast is X% reduction in recast time, X2% reduction in spell-casting time.Originally Posted by Sifer

otherwiki says homam pants are 4% and 2%, and i read somewhere before they are 3% and 1.5%, now you say they are 2% and 1%. where have they been tested?
If I'm not mistaken, didn't Kaeko's emnity business show that Sentinel basically puts you at +100 emnity for its duration, which is the cap? Rather, wouldn't it be benificial to wear something other than emnity+ during Sentinel since your emnity+ would be capped already?Originally Posted by Belkin
Yes, though the +100 may not be in effect at the moment Sentinel is used, therefore making +Enmity good for the moment you pop the ability, and w/e else you use good for afterwards.Originally Posted by Callisto

Nice guide, well written, the only mistake I noticed was Bream Sushi, which as far as I knew did not give Enmity, that would be Dorado Sushi. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
You are right, Bream has VIT. I probably wrote it because it was sitting in my inventory at the time haha.
Very solid guide.
Minor nitpick: "employed" rather than "implored" in the third paragraph.
I fix the stuff as you post it, thanks for the nitpicks![]()
Decent guide, would at least help ppl to figure out their own way of tanking. I don't really use any of those sets myself but I do mix most of that gear.
Good guide man. Also good Nin/Drk tank guide.
Now, to make the mages macro my name in their macros... That's the greatest challenge of a PLD nowadays... lol
I only blink for :Ichi casting myself, to prevent "miss-cures". Another solution is to load enmity in slots like Neck, Waist, etc... for Cures, less Enmity return, but well...
I second the usefulness of the Free Cures macros on yourself, a cheap one can be made with a BQ Ring and a Pigeon earring for Free Cure II's by instance... Many options available for this, without needing to blink...
Good guide Belkin, now I can be lazy and redirect everyone to your LJ. For this, I <3 you.
Enmity section:
Nicely written guide, now I just need to convince some people to read & follow it >_>Legs: Adaman Cuisses, Gallant Breeches
Feet: Valor Leggings, Adaman Sabatons
or you could swap in ether+electrum rings>BQ+sattva+pigeon and make that a c3Originally Posted by Taliesin
Very well written and organized guide. Needs more pretty pictures though!
I personally find it hilarious that you don't use a single piece of koenig armor in any of your macros. Most PLDs I know still keep an "oh shit" macro for when something goes wrong and recast timers are all screwy.
It's great that you make a point of telling PLDs to cure bomb anyone they can for hate. In the same vein it's important that mages keep track of PLD MP and only top people off when PLDs can't do it. When both the PLDs and the mages are aware of this, it is a great means of controlling hate in longer fights.
Great guide, very well-written. I don't play PLD anymore but I still read the whole thing, it was interesting.
Never thought about this....Originally Posted by Drunkenmonk
