    Removing Signet/Sigil/Sanction

    If I recall correctly, even with sigil or sanction in the old areas, I would still get the effects of items that have effects either in or out of your nation's control. Is there any way to remove signet/sanction/sigil w/o them having to wear off naturally. There is an item I want to use, but don't its extra stat because it'd be harmful rather than useful on what I would use that piece of gear for.

    You don't get Conquest item bonuses unless you actually have Signet.
    Sigil/Sanction won't give them.
    If you have Signet in say a ToAU area and are trying to get an outside of area's control bonus, that doesn't work either.

    I'm trying to not have it. Hmm I guess I'll have to check it myself then cause I could have sworn I was told that they had signet on but were in old areas and still got the outside of nation's control effect. If not, I can just get sanction when using my item then.

    items with the effect of +stat 'In Areas outside own nation's Control" will only take effect when during conquest, the nation you currently are allied to is not in control of the area you are in. This effect will take place in all zones within an area. This even applies to the actual cities of Windurst, San d'Oria, and Bastok.

    For example: If you are currently allied to Windurst, and Bastok or San d'Oria controls the area of Elshimo Lowlands, then the effect of any armor's effects with 'In areas outside own nation's control' will be in place in Kazham, Norg, Sea Serpent Grotto, and Yuhtunga Jungle. Zoning into any of the areas will cause the effect to activate immediately.

    Note that in order to obtain the benefits, you must have either Signet, Sanction or Sigil active. Further, these benefits will always activate in Lumoria (Sea), Dynamis, Limbus and Promyvion, as long as Signet/Sanction/Sigil is active. These benefits will never activate in Aht Urhgan areas. They do however, work in Beastmen controlled areas.

    O, you meant Shadowreign.
    I'm not sure if what you found on OtherWiki is accurate.
    I recall having to have Signet to get the bonus in an area such as Dynamis.
    Sanction would not give it in Dynamis, not sure about Sigil, because I've never played WotG yet lol.

    Gonna go buy something with effects rq and try it with sanction. If it works, I'll need a way to remove them ; ; I want to use Intruder Earring in ballista but I sub a mage job. I want the 6 defense on it for my defense build, but don't want to convert 40mp to hp.

    Yup works even with sanction ; ;. Is there any way at all to remove them? I'll need them off to get full use of the Intruder Earring.

    Weird, maybe they ninja'ed it because I remember back when I used Master Caster's Bracelets for my Enfeeb set as BLM I'd have to make sure to get Signet instead of Sanction for it to work in Dynamis.

    Sanction has always worked in place of Signet in Dynamis for items that take effect in "areas outside nation's control, " from the beginning of the Aht Urhgan expansion.

    I have always been able to get the 50MP from my Republican Gold Medal when electing to take Sanction instead of going to Jeuno/Bastok to get Signet when trying to rush to a Dynamis run, back when having a Whitegate homepoint was simply more convenient than anywhere else.

    You're testing the item in a homenation. Homenation does not count part of conquest.

    I'm fairly certain that Signet Staff's signet lasts way shorter than Rank 10 signet from the gate guards, at least it feels like it does, maybe only a couple hours? If you are max rank, assault rank, and campaign medal, then maybe time the duration and if it's only a couple hours (which I think is all), you could use it when you know you're going to be doing ballista so that it wears off by the time you need it to?

    I rly don't plan it all that far ahead. It'll just be if I don't have anything interesting going on at the time ballista comes up, I'll go to that, but hmmm doesn't seem its possible to simply have it removed or it would have already been mentioned a long time ago. Thanks anyways peeps.

    This reminds me of when I first started playing, I got signet and panicked, trying repeatedly to find a way to get rid of it because I thought that I was getting crystals instead of the other drops that NPCed for more.

    I've always used mst.cst. bracelets in sea with sanction on.

    And if you have no santion/signit/sigil the items will never work, it will not count as being outside of nation control if you have these off.

    I coulda swore I checked with sanction and I had 7 less Enfeebling skill unless I had used Signet.. guess I'm crazy lol.
