Those .pac files are 128k in size, I doubt there's anything of use in them.

Well obviously no model data but who knows what that 128K could hold, could fit in quite a bit of information in that, it's just what it is exactly is the problem.

On the subject at hand:

Doubt it, but considering how the game is run, especially for online and the play with everyone option, the word "why?" comes to mind lol. Absolutely nothing to gain from fucking around with the junk you can do.

Seriously, you go to the trouble of inputing friend codes to play with people you essentially know someway, not like they'll care you "hacked" the game if they didn't know already to begin with <<; Or you could be an asshole and take it with the whole everyone option but who gives a fuck if not much else is known about the other person lol.

Have you played Nintendo DS WiFi games? People cheat on those constantly just because they can. Many don't have any kind of rankings or leaderboards, yet you have the AR noobs on there constantly mucking things up.
Hell, people even cheat on Chessmaster on Xbox Live. Don't underestimate the kiddie "hackers".
