Wal-mart PLD Setup

It looks like in addition to working on a RDM tanking setup, I'm going to go ahead and level PLD(32 atm) up as well, I had been planning to level it to 50 a while back to help people with CoP, so I have all the gear I need up to 60 sitting on a mule. I'm curious though, before I would be able to round up Homam and such there'd be a bit where I'd have to make do with some buyable shit, what would be a good setup to holdover until I could get the good R/E stuff? I know the obvious things like Koenig Shield and AF boots > Adaman, any other suggestions?

Pick your sub depending on the party imo, if you get lucky and have DD's with dmg mitigation, thinking utsusemi or third eye, go with whatever does most dmg, if your party are a bit squishier you might prefer /war. I've taken my PLD to 44 so far, haven't used /nin yet but I've been in a couple of parties where it would have been good.

Are you asking what to use to level from 60 to 75? or what to tank in at 75? Walmart HNM is pretty much what Furion wrote earlier, except I'd rank Dusk Ledelsens higher than Askar. Leveling, Haub, Woodsman's, other DD stuff, sub whatever the PT can handle. /NIN starts to shine more at 70 when you can offhand Joyeuse, but if you prefer it to /WAR it can work...just have to try harder.

Dusk Hands/Feet seem like good investments as they're good for RDM tanking as well as PLD until you can snag some homam.

Ranged - Whatever you feel like
Head - Turban, Something with enmity (Adaman Barbuta if you don't have Assjammer/B Mask)
Neck - Harmonia's, Parade Gorget, Shield Torque
Earrings - Whatever you feel like
Body - AF1/Adaman
Hands - Dusk/Homam
Rings - Herc/Mermaid/Bomb Queen/Bloodbead/whatever
Back - HB/Resentment/Gigant/whatever
Waist - Swift Belt, Warwolf
Legs - Crimsons Cuisses, Adaman are pretty good if you don't have Homam.
Feet - Dusk/Homam, AF1

Looking for that, I can manage to figure out the XP levels easily enough, and once I hit 75 I don't need to worry about meripo setup b/c I have 3 merit whore jobs already, but basically I want my PLD to be serviceable for tanking lighter endgame fights(Dynamis/Sky/Tier1 Jailers/Limbus Bosses) until I can get ahold of the nicer Dynamis/Homam type stuff. Some R/E stuff will be ruled out like Sattva/Etherreal b/c of my RDM/COR, but I don't want pictures of my PLD ending up in Media Center, lol.

Edit: I guess probably I'm curious about a few pieces mostly, like are Adaman body/Bibiki Seashell/Hospitaler earrings crap or worth picking up/using if I have already?

At 75, don't bother with them. Rosenbogen or Lamian Kaman are both better than Bibikishell. Hospitaler is ok if macro'd in for cures (unless it's found that Cures give hate equal to less than 40% of the amount cured), but there are a number of better options for full-time usage. Adaman body is decent, but Gallant is pretty much even with it, and looks better (and you'll end up in the wtf thread if you're wearing the barney suit).

Bagel's list is pretty much what I use(d). Shuffle your Haste and Enmity as you start to get more Homam and you're pretty much set.
