Deciding between watching that tonight or gathering with some folks to watch some Wes Anderson films (mainly The Darjeeling Limited). Anyway, the movie came out last night -- has anyone seen it yet? Thoughts?

I generally laugh at whatever Will Ferrell does, and to give a heads up, if you hate Will Ferrell just don't bother clicking "Post Reply"

I think its gonna be a flop. He seemed to play the exact same role as Anchor man, Talladega nights and Blades of Glory, so this seems like it will be the same sort of film. He hasnt done an original film for a while now, and its getting depressing.

IMHO, all three of those were good with AnchorMan and Blades of Glory being great. Who cares if he hasn't really "stretched" himself as an actor, all those movies were at least good.

He definitely plays a similar character, the somewhat clueless man's man, but he's also usually pretty funny in that role.

I saw this movie last night. I'm not a big Will Farrell fan, i hardly liked Anchorman and i thinkTalladega Nights sucked... but I LOVE Superbad and Knocked Up (not Will Farrell films, but just pointing out that I have SOME sense of humor). Anyways, I thought Semi-Pro was a very funny movie. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you like Farrell's other films.

I was so disappointed in Stranger than Fiction. It could have been such a good movie, until the voice over became a chick. Would have been a lot funnier if some deep voiced guy did the narrating. British chicks just really aren't funny.

Wait... so you mean to tell me that Will Ferrell is Will Ferrell in all of his movies? That shit is crazy. He is really stretching himself, i mean he is such a good serious actor and not a comedian or anything.
