I have a mid-term tomorrow. The studying is going quite slowly.
Wait til the last minute where I have no choice but to do something? Idk...
Yeah I usually wait until the last minutes. Sometimes though, if a teacher gives me a month in advance to do something I usually might do one half of it, then leave the rest until the last minute just so I know how hard it will be. Luckily this semester I haven't had to do much homework.
Physics, Economics, Psych and Calc homework, all due tomorrow /cry /cryOriginally Posted by Lbelle

I need to get out of my house if I'm going to be effective. I get my best studying done on campus or at coffee shops or bookstores. I got /SOME/ stuff done at home, but I end up convincing myself 30mins of CoD4 won't hurt. And then it's time for House. After that I really should email some people back.
The rest is pretty self explanatory. My advice: get out of your house.
Edit: Why am I Fallso now? isn't he British? This all confuses me.

Procrastinating seems to be a common characteristic for college students these days.
Back when i was in college I had to go to campus to get anything done. If I wanted to do HW I would head straight for the library. Anywhere elses and I would get distracted. Plus I always found that by walking into the library I would find a class mate who was just finishing up the same HW. Honestly I think I might have done like 5% of my college HW. The rest I bummed off friends. And to think I still graduated in the top 5% of my degree. To think if i had payed attention I might have learned something.
I fire up the TV and usually wait till the last day. Can't do it otherwise, parent's used to give me shit for it when I was young, but eventually figured it out.
I force myself to do it, somehow. :\ I find I get my work done better at school. The problem is most of my assignments are web-based this semester, so I have to do them at home. Q_Q
I just read whenever I can: On the bus, while food is cooking, while I'm in the bathroom, etc.
HNM camps <3
Get an admin to ban you from the forums? idk
I put on some music, get a comfy chair, and unplug my video game system (not so much the last one now that I'm better disciplined). I've learned homework is much more bearable if you are doing it in a relaxing setting. If the temptation is too much, then leave the house and do it somewhere relaxing like a coffee shop or something.
That's exactly what I did when I was in school. Just get a few friends to do homework together at the library.Originally Posted by BIGSTIC
I usually dedicate 1 hour a day to all my classes. You just have to organize a study schedule and stick to it. This works for me because I don't have to deal with the pressure. This, however, doesn't work for writing assignments. I end up doing them days before they are due. I work for a writing centre, so it's liek second nature my brain knows it so yeah...
Get a crappy job, I mean a really bad one. Then when you are trying to do homework or are sitting in that boring lecture, just think that you don't want to be stuck working that job forever. I was going to suggest picking a field you are more interested in, but it looks like you're working on a bunchof GEC's right now. It will get better eventually.
I play FFXI, hang out with my bf, go out to eat, watch a movie, browse the internet, then go to bed at 1am, then remember I had homework, and set the alarm for 5am and do it then. Maybe.
