I'm just praying for the chance to tell everyone "I told you so" when I called Moss leaving the pats months ago.

I hope Asante Samuel has six years left in him. I really thought losing the super bowl for his team would have significantly devalued him.

But I'll be more excited about it after baseball season.

    Re: NFL Free Agency Acquisitions

Well the Patriots have a distinct policy of not paying most players. They had an amazing team this year but the key players like Moss and Samuel will get better paydays elsewhere. Meanwhile the Patriots have a great front office and are excellent on draft day and seem to have a great sense of picking up players other teams don't want and turning them into stars (Wes Welker). What they really need to do is improve their aging defense which ironically wasn't their problem in Super Bowl 42.

Also stuff floating around that if a team needed a QB/WR, he'd be willing to go where Culpepper went.

What team in the NFL is willing to give Culpepper a starting job? I can think of maybe the Vikings lol but that's about it.

Just saw on NFL Network like an hour ago that the Patriots are close to finishing a deal that will make him one of the top 3 highest paid WR's in the league. (With the Patriots)

Bernard Berrian went to the vikings...unless the bears get some good free agency pick ups or trades, they don't have jack shit for WRs right now. Hester is probably going to be up for one of the starting positions but i don't think he can be a premier WR.

What's been happening with Mcnabb, is he still a free agent or did the eagles hold on to him? I recall a nasty amount of talk about him being a fit for Vikings/Bears during the latter part of the season.

McNabb is going to stay unless some crazy draft day trade happens.

Well there goes Faneca. Hopefully Ben doesn't die from the amount of concussions he's gonna get next year. I couldn't stand our O-line this year WITH pro bowl Faneca. I can only imagine what's going to happen without him.

Gonna miss Gay on the pats. Always thought he was a cool guy and I liked the way he played. Saints will be happy with him, plus he gets to play at home again so I guess all-in-all it's good for him.

    Re: NFL Free Agency Acquisitions

Browns improved quite a bit already with Anderson signed long term and Stallworth. I assume they signed Anderson to play and are going to trade Quinn? Sucks they signed him long term too (i find him egotistical and dont think hes gonna be much in the NFL). Quinn will bitch his way out of there real quick when he doesnt play, who will take him?

The Moss-Culpepper thing, while it brings me lovely memories of old NFL2K dominance, is so lol-worthy. As Deejay said, while Moss is still sick, Culpepper is old and slow and injury prone. Moss is a hall of famer with everything minus a ring and going ANYWHERE with Daunte will be more years w/o even a glimmer of a hope for a ring. I think the Pats letting Samuel go was to allow them to offer more to Moss. i think there may still be teams that can top the Pats offer but cant compete with their chances to win, which moss wants to do.

McNabb, i donno, hes unhappy with the Eagles and rightfully so. Give him a recieving threat that isnt a whiny T.O. and a bunch of cash and he might stay. So much talk of him leaving though, I cant call it. He is past his prime and hardly a mobile quarterback anymore. Having busted his knee badly once before makes him a danger in the future in this league. My guess is hell stay for one more year because there isnt much else for the Eagles to get out there or he will go to the Ravens.
