Not sure if this is sarcasm or not. If you're being sarcastic, then it's funny. if you're being serious, then you're stupid, because there's no fucking way in hell that the Titans can compete with Indy, NE, SD, or hell... Jacksonville or Pittsburgh. VY is not as bad as people may seem to think, but he's definitely not a top tier QB yet.

    Thank you Aki.

So in your own words Plow, If they come anything short of the SB he is a failure right? Chow took the fall for Young's inadequacies. Crumpler, his 2 "top" Receivers and a WR in the draft more than likely should be enough right? Some how, I am sure you guys will post here in September with these ready made excuses for Vince.

I like how he gets credit for how the Titans anemic offense can score 12 points get a victory and somehow credit Vince and not that Stout under appreciated Defensive line they have. Because we all know that making the opposing teams offense one dimensional is what Vince Young is know for! I respect you Titan fans, but all of you are delusional. Its like catching your GF in bed with another guy and telling yourself she isn't a whore.

Open your eyes and see what the rest of the Football community is seeing. I get the whole fan thing, I really do. I am a diehard Panthers fan, am I delusional about Jake Delhomme being Joe fucking Montana, hell no.

No problem. I'm just here to point people in the right direction. I'm sure they aren't saying that Vince Young is the second coming of Jesus or something, but blaming all the lack of talent around him isn't exactly right either. Honestly, have you thought maybe he isn't smart enough to run an entire playbook? If I remember correctly, he did poor on that Wonderlic Test at the NFL Combine. You have to be *smart* to play QB. You can't just get by clearly. I mean, I guess what you are saying is if the Titans got Randy Moss, VY would put up Brady-like numbers, right? No.

Their RB situation, while not horrible because they know how to run the ball, isn't *that* great. It's a little above average as I know they piled on the yards. Their D-Line is the only stable part of their team, as notice when Haynesworth was out, I think they last a few in a row. They have to have a great defense to keep the score low so they can get up 3-0, 6-0, 9-0, whatever the case may be and then sit on the lead. They can't go with another potent offense and score point for point with them. There's no way in hell that their offense is good for that yet, and Vince Young still needs to grow. Fans need to stop being blinded by their die-hard love for their team and realize where their team actually is. I love the Bucs and Colts myself and I'll admit when my teams have issues. (Falcons are closer to me, but I've hated them since they got Vick. I never liked that fucker.) Either way, let's wait until the Titans turn their lack of offense into something else with this new Offensive Coordinator and if shit still sucks for them next year, then can we blame VY for not living up to what he's meant to be?

Btw, ESPN. Stop riding his cock saying "he has the leadership qualities to make a great QB, it's not all about stats" Here's the thing. It's more about the stats than it's not. You can't have a TD:INT ratio and expect to succeed. Sure, he can get lucky and get his team into the playoffs, but we saw what happened after that.

Nice to see the Jets overpaying for aging offensive linemen. That should really help Pennington considering his arm is like spaghetti now and he can only throw a ball 2 yards.

I'll probly take some heat for saying this, but it's impossible to overpay for a veteran offencive lineman. They do so much to make your offence better, and you almost always know exactly what your getting when you sign one.

The deal for Faneca is ridiculous. They made him the highest paid O-lineman in the league. I believe they said more than half of his contract is guaranteed(I could be wrong though.) And Woody is horrid. The only pickup the Jets made that is worthwhile so far is for Calvin Pace.

I actually agree about O-Linemen. Look at the difference of the Seahawks rushing game and such before Hutch left and after he left for the Vikings, and look at the Vikes now. Huge difference, so I'd overpay if I thought they'd have that kind of effect.

Falcons cut Alge Crumpler and now Warrick Dunn. De'Angelo Hall is thinking about leaving now too. Pair that with the Vick thing and the fact they are cutting almost all of the veterans...I think I may submit my resignation as a Falcons fan. Pathetic and absolutely the wrong move. There are NO leaders in the locker room anymore. They are going to suck for many years to come.

as a vince young fan, im glad they got crumpler, and i hope the keep scafe, he isnt awesome but he is still a pretty damn good tight end.

and as for my cowboys getting Zach Thomas, i dont know what to think, he might be washed up but we'll see and there really isnt anything he will do but add depth cuz i certainly dont see him replacing bradie james

I don't understand what your getting at? are you referring to him as a dual-threat QB? I really can't think of one thats one since Steve Young and though he could run we all know throwing was his bread and butter.

If your saying I'm wrong because of this "Game manager" QB that sportstalk guys like to refer to, thats really a load of garbage, a "game manager" is just a poor mans pocket passer.

    Re: NFL Free Agency Acquisitions

Anyone else think a lot of these players are getting overpaid?

Jesus, every other 3rd stringer is getting deals with 20-million guaranteed. Exaggeration? Slightly.

I've been excited for over a year now to see where Turner would go when the Chargers would let him go, and I'm thoroughly disappointed in where he ended up. I've always been a huge fan of his, and I'm going to spend the next few nights dreaming if Thomas Jones wasn't signed into New York, and Turner went there to run behind that revamped offensive line that looks very, very good on paper. But the Falcons? Come on...They wouldn't give Jerious Norwood the start after he was clearly a better back in that system than Warrick Dunn...Or we don't even have to get into that potential argument -- at least give the guy more than 3 touches when he turns those touches into 40-60 yards. I was hoping the Falcons would give Norwood the start outright after last season, but them signing Turner once again proves that Blank & Co. just have no faith in him. What's funny is, Norwood is like a poor-man's Michael Turner.

I'm happy the Eagles got Asante Samuel, but extremely pissed that we might be shopping Lito Sheppard. What the fuck, as good as Samuels is, I'll have Sheppard over him any day. It's not really a matter of who's better, but rather Samuel has shafted us many a time in the past.

On the Vince Young debate -- as was pointed out earlier, the fanaticism of Vince Young and the applaud given to the Titans defense are improperly arranged. Instead, the Titans defense should be getting the credit, with Vince Young given accolades for his decent play (with obviously much room for improvement).

I have a love/hate relationship with this Vikings signing of Bernard Berrian. I think he's a good player, had a good year last year (despite a few no-show games, especially when he'd face a good corner, i.e. whenever the Bears played the Packers), but I don't know how much he can contribute to a very young WR-corps. I can't wait to see more of Sidney Rice, and I think while there's obvious room for improvement, Bobby Wade was a reliable option. Among the huge list of Vikings receivers, there's that no-talent ass-clown who has yet to arrive, Troy Williamson...here's hoping for a breakout year! (hah!)

I'm looking over these FA signings, and I'm just shocked at some of these contracts.

I read some blurb on nfl.com about how busy Drew Rosenhaus is, signing something like $200-million over the past two days in guaranteed money. He's got like every big-name player out there...I wonder when ESPN is going to make a mini-series about him.

Playing the role of Rosenhaus, you ask? Christopher Walken.
