Interesting dynamis-valkurm glitch

So we did valkurm tonight, we were running short on time so we were in a hurry to reach the boss, and long story short someone got aggro from a cactuar and it ended up linking a manticore then the boss.

We figured we were fucked because we just arrived and were setting up the positioning, but the extra two malboro babies and the mobs around where the megaboss sits did not pop when it linked. has this happened to anyone else or is it just a convinent glitch? we did not kill any extra NMs besides the gobbue and fairy ring, so it has to do with the boss aggroing on the link not by an aggressive action...

Did they pop after you engaged it? If not that might be a cool way to make the boss slightly easier.

No they didnt pop at all. The other mobs in the zone that usually pop after killing him did, and we also got the extension so no problems there...

how did you aggro a cactaur and a manticore is a better question...cactaurs are from the north of boss, and manticores to the east...lol

Coming from east killing the Gobbue NM would be my guess.
