Rockies were a fluke last year and won't finish the way they did last year. Calling it here first! The West needs to get back to sucking =[

They had the best run differential in the division, and were a 92 win team by Pythagoras. The win streak at the end was a fluke, but so was the fact that they weren't alreayd at the top of the division.

They stayed healthy last year and they got some flukey performances out of the bullpen, but they should make up for this with their young power arms coming into their own for a full season.

It's a possibility, but the guy just feel off the face of the earth. His first start this spring:
2/3 IP, 8 ER, 7 H, 2 BB, 0 K, 0 HR

Not being able to complete the 2 innings is just fucking sad.

what makes this even more sad is that its spring training... lolz

yes its a new league for santana but i still think he will get 20 wins because of the mets quick run offense, i believe santana will struggle @ the beginning maybe first 2-3 games cause of the league change

Another pitcher changing leagues is dontrelle willis... I never really was a fan of him and i thought of him as a fluke but if he can give the tiger maybe 12-13 wins i believe they have a chance with verlander and their new offense

Also we dont know how Santana will react to being part of a fierce rivalry. Some experts are saying the Mets-Phillies rivalry will be better than Yankees-Red Sox this year. It might not affect him at all but its still something to look for.

I just cant wait for the first Hamels-Santana match up. Could be the start of a great pitching rivalry for the next couple of years

Zito was never really a power pitcher. He has always lived and died by his looping curve. I'm chalking his performance last year up to him tinkering with his delivery + him trying to live up to his contract. If he pitches like he did his last 6 starts (3ish era) then I'll say the Giants have the best starting rotation in the NL, and possibly all of MLB. The only problem is it's not going to translate to wins cause I don't see them scoring more then 3 runs a game. I mean, look at Cain last year. How many full time starters do you see with a mid 3 era only get 7 wins.

Unfortunately after Hamels gets arbitration after this season, he'll say "hey Phillies, fuck you for paying me $650,000 this year, I'm going to take the most ridiculously hueg offer I get".

Hamels isn't free agency eligible for quite a few years, but yeah, he's not happy about his $500,000 salary.
