The puppy was young. The goat wasn't very old, maybe 1 year or so, from the looks of it (I've raised goats before). People go ;_; over the puppy, but not the goat. It really is irksome, it is.

The goat wasn't a service/companion animal and it at least died to feed some lions, in a manner not too different from how it'd die as prey in nature (aside from the 20 foot drop).

The puppy was a service/companion animal and it died for no reason other than for some dickhead to get a laugh.

I'm only slightly more disturbed by the puppy violence over the goat, but it's the reasoning/lack thereof that's most disturbing.

I was referring to the value placed upon a dog/goat varies depending on the culture you belong to. So trying to say which is worse to observe being mistreated is pointless unless you speak in a specific manner.

People die over there, but see... in "war", people are supposed to die. Civilians die every day, just like animals die every day, but until I see someone throw a human being off a cliff, it's not the same thing. Americans of all people aren't supposed to snatch up a puppy, seemingly for pure sport of it (even though someone mentioned it could be a bomb..?) and throws it off the cliff. Yeah. You know, that's totally the same thing as war, and casualties during said war. Last I checked, it was human versus human. Not human vs human with the occasional puppy mixed in.

Interesting how one of the weakest statements i've made in this thread equals "remotely substantive contribution" to you. What a fantastic way to arbitrarily pick out a sentence out of all my posts in this thread and suddenly designate it my main argument, because it is apperently the only one you can attack. That statement i made is weak because it makes it seem like i'm saying that you shouldn't feel bad about what happend to this dog because worser things happen to people, but thankfully i already rectified that. And also, what in the world are you reading? Don't forget many ppl on the forum are americans/europeans who value a dog more relatively to a goat for obvious reasons, it's naturally people have more sympathy for the puppy instead for the goat. and Beckwin's post stands valid.
