All this and why is no one sending death threats to those farmers that slaughtered those downer cows and fed them to the innocent schoolchildren!?Originally Posted by Khamsin
Man... if it wasn't illegal, I'd put a bounty out for a video of this guy getting tossed from a cliff/bridge/airplane to a horrifying, grizzly death.
Whew, good thing it's not legal, cause, you know... I would never do anything illegal.![]()
In America, by law, cattle must be stunned(even through gunshot) before slaughter or are gassed. Neither are painful. Cows and chicken(and sheep when the occasion arises) are the only meats I eat. I find cruelty in humans and animals equally bad and disgusting, but I'm more sympathetic towards in humans when it comes to deaths. I'm just throwing this out here, because someone can love animals and eat them too. I respect the way nature works, though because humans were programmed to survive and have the gift of logic, they will never accept it entirely(which is why the earth is doomed to overpopulation and the disturbance of nature).
Now, people are comparing human soldiers with a puppy. To contrast: Soldiers are not slaves(no draft in sight). It's terrible when they die, but it is voluntary. They risked themselves in the name of honor, bravery, freedom, free college, people in other countries, and some other things. It can be argued that these things are not worth it or whatever war they are fighting is not worth it, but that has little to do with a helpless little dog being thrown off a cliff.
Why are people mourning over a dog instead of a soldier? There are plenty of reasons(media exposure, easier to relate with, above stated contrast, etc), not that not mourning soldiers is a good thing. Going out of your way not mourn a dog is pretty bad too.
I got a cheap laugh out of the "YAPYapyapyapyapyapyap".![]()

Starting to hit mainstream media now:
ABC News: Marines Investigate Puppy-Throwing Video

Fox News: Marines Outraged by Puppy-Throwing Video; Investigation Heats Up

CNN News: Video appears to show Marine abusing puppy

Exactly what I expected. It has all the typical media cliche`s that would grip the general retarded public. Iraq, Puppies, and Shot put.
I don't condone what he did, but this is just another example of idiots turning a blind eye to everything they don't see a youtube video of. Go do a search for animal cruelty, especially in China. *rolls eyes* This guy is a saint in comparison.
I swear to god, all of the posts knocking the overreaction by the public all have the same argument of "This is not as bad as ______." Fucking stop it. This isn't acceptable. Yeah, of course we're going to overreact! WE KNOW HIS NAME, and it was released FOR EVERYONE to see. When you see something like that while surfing the internet, there's a big difference from meticulously searching for animal cruelty, because animal lovers DON'T search for animal cruelty. Jesus fucking christ.![]()

It's one thing when civilians die from a war(which is tragic in itself), it's a completely different matter when someone takes a puppy and sadistically, maliciously, and out of sheer cold blood tosses it off a cliff. Civilians dying is a part of war. Throwing puppies off of cliffs is not. GTFO of here with that shit.Originally Posted by Kuya

Although I can't be sure, there is a good chance this soldier is mentally fucked because of the war. Thus explaining such a behavior. If he doesn't get killed, or commits suicide, he is still gonna have a fucked up, neurotic life for as long as he lives.
In other words. Bush's fault.
p.s (Yea, they have a lot of animal cruelty in china/developing countries in general, and incidentally, mental disorder in developing countries are sometimes estimated as high as 85% of the population.)
It is most definitely a situation of "it's not as bad as ____" because the time and effort spent (by the media/individuals) trying to ruin one individual douchebag's life could be spent to help prevent more of this shit people conveniently are now so passionate about to bitch/moan/call/post/etc over. I call fucking bullshit when it takes a video on the internet for this and the (for him) unfortunate fact that his identity was found out. It's sensational, it's filler for news, it's nice and controversial, it's conveniently available at our lazy-computer-obsessed fingertips. A jackass did something malicious and shitty while in another country, where there's probably no law against it. Either get over it or do something besides the too-easy negative reinforcement for one perpetrator. Efficiency. How about instead of posting his info, prank calling this guy and/or trying to get him repremanded, go tap away at the keyboard and write the UN and suggest international animal cruelty laws.
I'm a dog fan, but I'll get over it. We'll see what the Marines say, but don't be surprised if the new word of the month is Animal-borne IED.

I'm sorry, are any of us expressing distaste for the action and pity for the dog on a videogame forum writing hate mail to the guy? Didn't fucking think so.Originally Posted by miokomioko

I called the Marine Corps base in Hawaii and left a message in their offices. I'm sure they're being flooded, but those marines need to be charged to the fullest extent. What kind of message is that sending home to America in a time of war when an innocent, helpless puppy gets thrown to its death by the very people defending this country? Sick bastards.
And to add to that.. it's not that we just care about "a stupid dog". It's the consideration for ALL LIFE in ALL LIFE FORMS in general. Do you think that man cares about taking the lives of innocent people if he can throw a PUPPY off a cliff? Absolutely not.

I don't think a persons ability or inability to kill a 'cute' animal really has a lot to do with the overall efforts of the middle east, then again I could be entirely wrong (as I'm sure a lot of you furfags would like to say I am right now)Originally Posted by sexxxytaru

As a tangent, what would the video's response have been like if their had been an explosion after he threw it? My guess is we wouldn't be talking about it right now.
Even I think that was some fucked up shit![]()
