Sound issues

How can i find out if my computer has a sound card or not? my computer cannot play any sound what so ever, even when i plug in my headphones or speakers, no sound . any ideas? anything I can download to give me sound?

If you can plug speakers in then it has a soundcard/chip.

Have you checked Device Manager (Control panel>system>hardware, expand sound and video...) to see if it's correctly installed?

If correctly installed...

Control Panel > Sound and audio devices > Sound

Your output device should be specified to the card installed
