Unfortunately though, it hasn't gotten boring and repetitive enough for it to not happen when the next update that isn't OMGWTFBBQ comes around.

Maybe, but there's also the fact that they could JUST add the event items and say bugger-all to the rest, if they really wanted. You can only take this time table thing on faith, and since there's no reason to expect them not to add exactly what they're currently promising with the obviously light content they've been presenting with the last few update notes (especially considering the delay that came after TOA's launch had a host of besieged adjustments before the first part dropped and they also had to add an entirely new system with chocobo raising), we may not be elated by what we get, but we should be getting it on time.

what i'm interested in is the New forms of Transportation spells they mentioned at the Fanfest (or where ever it was mentioned ><) and the new Avatar (whether summonable or not >.>)...

Could we be getting Teleport-Olduum? Some sort of warp that sends you to your "HP" at a Maw? Or a Portal into the Walk of Echoes? Teleports to the (s) crags? Warpga? lol

tbh i was looking for it and was sad yours didn't get in earlier, because it was definitely the first thing I thought as well.
I'm starting to really lean toward something epic en route - like kings being changed epic. Not even SE is dumb enough to not give us any new content and only adjust minor shit, especially right after an expansion. I'm thinking changes to every job, some new WotG instanced thing, and a big change to some old content.

Whereas on the other hand, they tend to throw the really good updates like a curveball from nowhere. Like I said earlier, I'm already ready to give up on it all, but some stupid part of me has hope that SE is just toying with us and there's big changes on the way.

Yes, you're absolutely right. In Japan. However, here in the United States, we pronounce CaitSith: "Kate-Sith"
Not a great big fan of Japan personally.
