$20 says they are doing this to watch everyone get their panties in a bunch and squirm about until they see the official day-of update patch notes where they add Nyzul weapon upgrades, Sneak ninjutsu, new Automaton frame, new jug pets, new Avatar, relic armor for Blue Mage/Puppetmaster/Corsair, new Blue Mage spells, Scholar and Puppetmaster JSE, and increased droppage for Einherjar, blah blah blah.

The PUP in the banner screenshot looks like she's performing blue magic. And iirc there's only three dances: Waltz, Jig and Samba. All the rest are just default JA or WS actions. So this final 4th dance is either a blue magic copycat, or the one the crazy Mithra does in Upper Jeuno.

Yea, but they at least could have made it a different animation. Now I have no reason to level dancer as I can type /dance1 and get the same effect.

level it to /37 at least, one of the best melee subjobs for solo play.
i do think giving everyone the dancer motions is kinda a cheap way of giving /dance a motion, but better then the nothing /dance has been for years i guess lol.

Normally I don't post in these update threads but this time I'll make an exception.

First of all I have the funny feeling that the Emperor Band might be obtainable via Allied Notes instead of Conquest Points. I seriously don't see Vana'diel ever returning to the days of RoZ camps. And I badly need 38k CP for Master Caster's Bracers >.>

The caps.. eh, nothing I'd die of not having. I'm just glad they aren't adding more cool furnishings like the Timepiece and Airship. I don't want to buy another game just to get them -.- Also I don't think they'll allow mules to work with the Gold Pass like someone mentioned, because you can't log 2 characters from the same account at once.

Dance emotes have been long overdue, but not worth mentioning in their own notice. Besides, nothing can ever top GW female Elementalist dance without armor on. <.<

And finally, if you'll all recall the second patch after the end of CoP brought with it Diabolos and Bahamut's BCs. They were announced on the day of the update This is purely speculation on my side, but I think that this one being the 2nd one after the end of ToAU, might bring with it a new avatar but they won't announce it until the day of the update like before. It will most likely be Odin and not Alexander, simply because Odin can move, while alex can't. While they could make it levitate, that would require additional programming and knowing how lazy SE is they'd probably just use the already completely movable and ready dat model of Odin. I seriously can't figure out another explanation that would justify the 4 months of no updates besides the balancing issue with adding a new avatar.
