WAR:- Ability to automatically strike back (ala Counter) and Store TP from the attack.
They mentioned this would be tied to provoke, and that was being 'considered'

MNK:- Considering new ability to slow attack speed of monk but increases attack power per hit.
This was a kick attack modifier. It had nothing to do with main attacks as was presented, only that it would increase the frequency of kicks and the over all strength of melee attacks while reducing attack speed. CONSIDERED Buy vishnu's cesti now whore's.

WHM:- Repose spell: SLEEP for WHM!
- More teleport spells!
Nothing to add here. Skill set wasnt mentioned. teleports where said to be NEXT update

BLM:- Lowering the rate monsters resist Skillchains
- New transportation spells for BLMs
LOL. They got boo'ed a bit here firstly. They very quickly snuck in the transporation blm spells, and gave no further hints than that. CONSIDERED

RDM:- Increasing RDM's usefulness as a FRONTLINE mage, meleeing
Same here. Can't add anything other than they wanted RDM to be a mage that can also do melee damage. This seemed like more for parties and not endgame. CONSIDERED

THF:- New JA: Accomplice - STEAL HALF a party member's ENMITY and transfer to the THF.
First big WHOO FUCKING HOO moment. Crowd went nuts @ this.

PLD:- Damage reflect with shield
As further discussed in the Elmer thread, here they said 'magic that will reflect damage'. again, considered

DRK:- DRK specific spells

BST:- HP recovered by pets using stay
- Snarl added, used for jug pets.. to transfer ALL hate to pet

Pet food is CONSIDERED. Reward timers are CONSIDERED. Everything else is tuesday.Crowd went fucking nuts.

BRD:- New songs
- Ability select single targets for AOE spells.
Um....I don't remember if this is considered of in the update. I was listening to people jabber about the BST un-nerf.

RNG:- New Velocity Shot - Ranged attacks are quicker and more powerful
Again, can't remember if this was CONSIDERED, JAN update, OR tuesday. Sorry. Ranged attacks + comes at the expense of melee attacks being weakend

SAM:- Adjustments will be made due to 2handed updates
- Ability to improve effectiveness of SC's, increasing damage for SC's
SAM was targted specifically because of 'store tp, mediate, and the soboro for 'adjustment'. Expect a store TP nerf IMO. The SC's buffs are just going to help everyone.

NIN:- Sneak effect NINJUTSU
- Temporary reducing enmity then bringing it back up
CONSIDERED, not confirmed

DRG:- Increasing the number of actions of wyvern
- Bloodpacts for Wyvern!

SMN:- New ability, Healing MP via elemental spirits.

I uh...don't remember a new abliity. the healing MP was mentioned as a day of the week effect, and also was mentioned as CONSIDERED. Also, they said new SUMMONS PLURAL

In jan update. Nothing else. Haha.

COR:- New rolls for new jobs
- New effect for Quickdraw

PUP:- New automaton attachments
- New automaton weaponskills for high level PUPs

I can understand why people might QQ at the vagueness, but there's no reason to get so angry when we honestly don't even know what's in store. Sure it sucks the only concrete aspects of the update are the ones that are super trivial, like dance emotes and new recruitment hats, but there's no reason to just instantly assume that this entire update is going to be like SE is using our mouths as a toilet after they've binged on extra spicy fajitas because of few of the updates are lame.

Maybe the new missions they've announced will be really fun and really awesome. Maybe there will be several mission BCs added and some cool CSs. We've seen the trailer so we know how epic some of these missions are bound to be. Maybe not, no one knows.

Maybe the new equipment will be really good, maybe not? How can you tell how good or bad a piece of armor or a weapon is going to be when they've only just released a picture of it?

I think the issue is mainly when people see 'exciting new pankration updates' they feel its a slap in the face which leads to discontent about the update. Everyone knows something.... at least one thing will be good in the update - the issue is just that the way they pitch these updates is kinda geared towards annoying the masses waiting for something good and it makes SE seem like they arent in sync with what the community wants to hear. No one says they have to spill all the beans... but cmon when your throwing out pankration/uploading macros/'new weapons' etc when you've promised the fans NMs/nyzul info/job adjustments/WoTG stepping out and knocking ToAU the fuck out... it gets kinda played out fast.

You know, kinda like that one friend that uses the same joke every time and expects a different result.

No, people did ask for it. And they kept asking and asking and asking. They wouldn't let it go, and now as a result I have to hear people on the BG forums bitch about it. Do you think that Square would have put forth that 10 minutes worth of effort on their own had people not asked for it incessantly? Yes people asked for these changes. That doesn't mean they wanted them all in one sub-par update, after an expansion that had very little content to begin with. Also, they could've released some actual info like job adjustments, etc. that the majority of people are interesting in, and kept the silly ass Panration/Dance Emotes/NPC shit to themselves until the day the Update Notes came out. Even if this update has some good stuff there is no reason to spread lame NPC/Panration/Battle Music announcements out over the course of a month and a half.

they actually have several NA reps and JP reps, and most of the dev team reads the forums as well. Face it, we find a lot of problems, broken things, like clerics pants +1. Not listening to us and the game would be considerably worse, we are the best beta testers they have. Remember the devs dont have the final say in adjusting kings either, just fixing errors in the program, so we can bitch all we want about how much fail they are, they want to fix it. Sage motherfucking Sundi wants to fix them, but the guy in charge says its fine and should stay.

They read every post we have on the update, I am 100% positive we scare the shit out of them if the updates are less than stellar, they know we are the bastion of the community they really have to appease because we influence the younger players who want to be like the endgame elites.

1 update w/ everything we've seen in the last 3 weeks (Pankration, Fellows, Battle Music, emotes, etc.)
1 update about Campaign and New Missions.

spread that over 4 weeks before the update, only do 1 update note a week if that's all they can afford to do.
